Lil Jobs Between Big Jobs
Having spent 45 years in the ad biz has taught me how to keep plates spinning. It is BTW the perfect job for folks with A.D.D. You have to be able to move from one job to another without hesitation. This can be brutal mentally if you are on a big focused job, because part of ADD is that you also become obsessive about one thing and dig in. Zipper manufacturers for example.

This year as with last year have and has been a very busy real work time period for me. LOTS of zoom calls, meetings and productions. For example, a short time after filming this and 2 comercials, Jack scored the Golden Shot. You can imagine that things got real busy, real fast. Here is a behind the scenes look at it what it was like. You may recognize the hat!

Now while all this was happening, we were able to do the Woody Floater B restoration.
Yup, this all was happening at the same exact time. So you have zero excuse about being too busy to restore a boat. Lil jobs between big jobs is how to tackle multiple things. AND this can also be very healthy for you. You get little breaks to remind yourself that you have other things you love. This is why the railway is so important to me and my mental health.

HA, yes. Trust me, I am still working on the next round of Get Checked ads and its 24/7 in my head. Being old, and doing healthcare ads is not a good combo. I swear I have everything I have to talk about. One day I am dying of a heart attack and the next Liver disease. Or maybe its a Kidney? Oh and EVERYTHING leads to cancer. Taking baths in Paint Thinner I think is the best treatment though. Oh and a good cup of Coffee varnish
Where in hell do you find a videographer that can skate and shoot like that? Well, my daughter‘s boyfriend is one lol. He’s done work for Tyler Perry, Delta Airlines, Harley Davidson, and entered his own movie short at New York City International Film Festival. That’s an amazing commercial behind the scenes. Look by the way. Can’t believe you juggled all that. Seems like a good method for Alzheimer’s prevention. As a recent cancer survivor, my inner self is always thinking in the back of my mind what in the hell is next?
The camera guy is “the Guy” He has an entire system and does this on the ice as a specialty. He flys around the world and just does this. It was a crazy day, Had only 6 hrs on the ice to film. Lots of logistics.
I get your “condition”….because you see I , and anyone else mostly, would have done those handrails ON the boat….not you….pain in the butt to take em off etc.

Cool commercials! You are definitely creative! I say, enjoy everyday! You could get t-boned at the next intersection! I’ve gotten to the point where I try to live and love, like it’s my last day on earth!
That almost happened to me this spring. Driving back roads at night. I approached the intersection the light turned green so I kept speed about 55. Saw the minivan from the left not stopping for his red light. Woman in an suv coming towards me never saw him. Both collided at speed. She landed behind me upside down, and folded in my driver side mirror.
Steven, that is one supper scary story. When the car coming at you folds in your driver side window, that would give me a heart attack. WOW!
Great commercial, Jack’s brother Quinn plays for the Minnesota Wild and we are hoping to pick up Jack to center Quinn’s line.
I can relate to the ADD tendencies of bouncing between projects but with ADD, there’s typically a lack of focus to complete a project. A hyperfocus to complete a project no matter what (like even when it’s scary hot and humid out, or fixating for days on a font and positioning of lettering) is more of an OCD trait. Combine those with a rapid, creative mind and high level of ambition would make you successful in most everything you put your mind to. ha ha.

When Suzy found out that I was varnishing one winter in the spare bedroom she looked at Sandi and in shock said “You let him varnish in the house?!?!”
WAIT! You mean you’re not supposed to varnish inside the house??
Wait? What? Thats frowned upon?
Serious question can I varnish in the house. In the fall it’s too chilly outside but heater hasn’t kicked on. Still have to worry about water heater. It’s just me so I’m not exactly worried about sniffing varnish fumes.
