Live-ish From Gull Lake

Smile, your on Woody Boater!
Longtime fellow Woody Boater Steve Lapkin reports in from the big Gull Lake Chris Craft event. While many of us here in the South are dealing with the cray cray, the good folks way up in Minnesota are taking advantage of smart living. And living they are. WOW. Here is Steve’s Report.

Grey Grey, not Cray Cray
And spirits may not have been completely dampened. Today, the day before the show on Saturday, allowed for a nice bit of underway time. Here’s how the stage has been set at John Allen’s Bar Harbor Club……orchestrated by Dave Bortner…..as the first of what may be many 100th anniversary celebrations of the Chris-Craft marquee in 2022.

Great report and fabulous Minnesota boats. I’m glad the overcast weather didn’t dampen the fun. That fire truck is a cool addition. Thanks for sharing!
This area is home to some of the most prized and historic privately owned boats in the country!
Ahhhh boats and smiling happy people. Joy. Steve- did you get the obligatory shot of Dave B in his plaid shorts by any chance?
🙏❤️ Dave is “in wardrobe” now, preparing for his cameo! More on Mr. Bortner and the extravaganza coming soon.
