Monday, The World Exclusive Premiere Of “The Irwin Files”
Tune in this Monday…tomorrow for those of you calendar challenged like me for the world premiere of the film that we will officially call “The Irwin Files” Ya see over 60 years ago the folks at Irwin Marinefilmed all the normal fun stuff of the day, and right here on Woody Boater you will be able to see it.
Thanks to Jack, Jim Irwin, for allowing us all to bask in the coolness. What is so cool, is that it was just boating when it was filmed.

The film has been put on a DVD and shown around a bit while being narrated live by Jack Irwin, we sadly only have the film. We will be working on getting the narration later but in the mean time we have the footage loaded here exclusively before it gets done. Not on Youtube, just here. Terry Fiest says. “What an incredible video I can’t stop watching it.”

Wilson and I were just commenting on what a fantastic thing it is that Woody Boater almost always has very interesting stories here all the time. The thought came to mind of what do ya do when ya can’t come up with one… Do a preview of tomorrow! And hope it all comes together before 6:00.
They were such a big deal on our lake. You should see their showroom. The exhaust vents look like they came off a steamer!

As I said to you yesterday…It wasn’t easy to come up with interesting stuff every three months for The Brass Bell…I don’t know how these guys do it every day.
I was lucky enough to get an early look tomorrow’s film and I can tell you, you won’t want to miss it. It will be great if anybody can get Jack Irwin to sit down and narrate it.
I find the material on this sight to be AWESOME!
It amazes me the way these guys are coming up with interesting stories every day, and sometimes more than one a day, that is somehow related to classic boating. This is the real reason I get so frustrated when someone rails them for having too many stories about glass boats or stuff that is a little outside of the normal framework.
I love reading and thinking about boats every day period!
I can only say these guys doing WoodyBoater are totally insane.
It drove me up the wall to create and do the editing on one of the marque newsletters 25 years ago.

Sorry. Can’t bring the Zima. Alex polished them off after he drank a 2liter bottle I had of wine coolers. It’s been in the garage fridge since 1987 but he found it and now it’s gone.
Poor guy, these winters are he’ll on him.
I’ll bring the buttered popcorn with real butter so we can get virtual clogged arteries.
I’ll have to wait until later in the day when I can be accompanied by Mac-n-Jack… 🙂

I too wonder at how Matt and the crew find something to write about daily…I kept a daily journal…in it everything about what I did today and anything about Powhatan Va. that appeared in print…one day someone will stumble across a 8 foot shelf of journals and have some neat old stuff…I hope.
