HOLY CRAP! I love shots like this.
Today we finish up the unofficial pre pre event up in the Hessel area. A special thanks to Shannon and Scott for the amazing pics, and a reminder that it’s all about the boats, people and friendship. And boathouses, okay and tools, gotta have tools, and a good camera, and internet service. And of course some good toilet paper, that kinda goes without saying. Which I suppose right now you are wondering why I even said it. Or wrote it. Or even thought about it. Okay, pics and made up captions now!
Let’s just get this out of the way. Yes of course it happened. And yes.. It aint over yet.
More boathouses
And varinsh guzzlers
Like a post card from paradise, I guess wish you were here from paradise could be misunderstood.
The hat is back… Love how the blue appears here
You put your left foot in, You put your left foot out;Thats the way you do the Poky frame job
There is a certain tension in this image.

You can hear his wife in the house from here. “WHEN ARE YOU GONNA GET UP OFF YOUR FAT ASS AND GET THAT TREE OUT OF THE YARD.. EDWARD, DO YOU HEAR ME? EDWARD!!!!!????
Dang, I have that same workbench. Like exactly? I am so confused, it’s like one of those alien images in hieroglyphics.
OH! Here comes the gang
Perfection.
PERFECTION 2, this time with a boat.
LOVE me a big HIGGINS
Thanks Shannon and Scott, and nice move on the hat diplomacy
I call this. Hope!
Another beautiful day on the water…or in my case, on my IPad. Thanks to all for the wonderful shots this morning!
Stick a broken shift fork in the XK, its done for this trip. Thankfully, this hobby is full of great people and we have had countless offers for rides. The boats are cool, but the people are cool-er!.
The Michigan gang is cruising Walloon today. Woohoo!
OH NO the XK had to be toed!
Not sure if that lead boat is a Continental or Capri, but someone needs to find those people a star for that beautiful Bull Nose.
So glad you all loved the pics! Thanks to Matt for making them look so good! Big shout out to Jeff Davey who lent his Merc expertise to take a look at our shifting issue even after a long day on the water. And of course, Dick and Ann De Boer who offered for us to join them on Baby Grand so we didn’t have to miss the afternoon tour. Riding in that boat was like a dream come true and we had so much fun with them and with their other guests. It truly is the PEOPLE that make this hobby so fantastic!
Toilet paper???
Yesterday you said the pre event shots were like seeing a Christmas commercial in September. Guess what I’m doing this week? Making Christmas commercials.
And that Paradise boathouse. Yep, that’s paradise.
There is nothing like cruising the Les Chaneaux islands. Thanks Shannon and Scott, and Matt.
Wonderful shots of great boats and locations! We had the family out on Lake Washington on “Thisuldu” Saturday. It was a beautiful afternoon, perfect weather so we cruised the shoreline in the sunshine and – as usual – We passed (at least) a couple hundred homes and I think we may have seen six people actually outside enjoying their beautiful waterfront. It’s the same every time and appears to be universal from the boathouse shots… I don’t get it! Looking forward to the boat show shots as the week progresses. 🙂
