Motor Boating! Watch Out Who You Say It Too.

,

It’s a different thing to different people!

So, the other day I was asked to write up a brief paragraph about Woody Boater for some of our younger staff. I started it out with a sentence about Motor Boating Being An American Thing… Well.. apparently if you are  under the age of lets say 40 ish.. Motor Boating has an entirely different meaning. And well. I have not heard the end of it. We were in tears laughing. A very innocent reference and yet?

Oh gawd, do these magazines have another meaning now?

It was a Sr moment on my part for sure. They already make fun of me, They say Night Night Matt at the end of meetings.. OH, it’s all fun and games until you hit my age that’s for sure. I love my staff, and despite all this pandemic crap we are busy as hell, and growing strangely.

So, for the record, be careful using the term Motor Boating. Or not.. Happy Friday! Get out there and go motor boating!

Happy Header Day. You know what to do!

I always thought motor boating was an international thing. I am sure Troy has pictures and videos from all over the world.

I just learned this “new” meaning of the term motor boating this year, too. Fortunately, I learned it from my well endowed and young at heart girlfriend, (we both turned 50 this year). Rock on, gen x’ers!

    There is also reverse Motorboating.

Not to be confused with motorboating in reverse like A’s friend tried to do with Marion E. That can create a submarine if done right. (There is another word with double meaning, submarine races). This one is for you A!

On the first date with my wife (about 30 years ago), I go to pick her up at her parents house where she is living. I walk in to the living room which had a nice baby grand piano – a young guy is sitting at it, playing it & cracking jokes in an alter-ego personality that was a little odd at the time. I met Sean Hayes & Jack McFarland that night. Was entertained by him at many other parties at my in-laws for a few years until he went Hollywood.

Uh…..since the internal combustion engine was invented in approx 1860, that means this sport of “motorboating” has not been with us for very long.

So am I to assume also that the Victorians were only able to “steamboat” their ample, corseted boobs?

And what of the poor Egyptians and Romans and Polynesians??? Did they merely “oarboat” them boobies?

I’m thinking Suzy needs to get involved. Enstead of “Woodies for Boobies” she could do “Motorboating for Boobies”.
It is a real thing you know. Make a donation and get to motorboat with someone.

Makes sense, as one should never go motor boating without certified flotation devices… 😉 But now I’m confused about paddle boarding!
