Obsessing Over Lettering.

Red white and blue. It works better in person than in a photo
It’s been a very crazy week here, with work and moments of time to letter Stinky. And to be honest, I aint happy yet. And maybe the best solution is to just move on. But I can’t, it’s like a scab I just keep picking at. Not to mention, that photoshop is not real and in person, you have to try stuff. But there is something off about all this.

This was before I added the blue. Looks nice in a photo but was washed out.

The Red white and Blue from a distance.

It’s a simple sand and clean off process. And not sure if I am just obsessing. BTW, I loved the Skunk or rat reference. And a work of art on the transom is interesting as a punctuation.

A stinky Rat.

Skunk! Shooting out a spray of stink

The Skunk from before
And maybe less humorous. A shield?
I am torturing and obsessing. But thats the process. Right now its all painted as in the first image. Red White and Blue.
It looks good. Put her in the water and go for a boat ride!
I agree with Greg – looks great, time to enjoy the boat on the water! If you do decide to go the “work of art” route, the rat just doesn’t fit, needs to be the skunk. And the cute one with the year is the best of those.
My Racer.
LOVE RAT! And just got to the railway and I swear it all looks better in person. So confused. Hey it will get sanded off in a year anyway
looks great. If you add an image, given it’s history of being originally owned by a pig farmer, seems like it should be a pig.
A pair of crossed flags. One American flag and one Checkered flag. Because your a winner.
cheer up…I got ya beat….4 hours sleep obsessing over the Model A that I have up in the air but not high enough…must pull entire rear end and torque tube assembly out the back to replace a little oil seal….and the leaf spring won’t clear the ass end of the car…but a lot…stupid stuff like I never do…ahhhhhhh!
Less is more, Matt.
Just to confuse things more, I guess you could put on a lobster.
Not to hijack this but in honor of the 80th anniversary of D-day I caught this on Smithsonian Channel “The Pacific War in Color”. It shows Navy recruits after FDR’s Pearl Harbor attack speech on Lake Michigan training on Chris Craft cruisers out of Chicago.
You should paint the transom blue to match the sides and then paint the name in white. Sorry I went there Matt…. (I know it was blue before you took it down to bare wood)
The farting skunk and the year is perfect.
I agree with the spraying skunk and year. You already have the name on the sides. It is overkill putting it on the transom too.
I like the farting skunk with the year too.
Please leave the transom wood not colored in blue!
Looks great!
Whats the significance of flying a skunk flag? Taylor makes them.
