OH GAD ZOOKS – THIS AGAIN!
It’s almost like each engine is taunting me. This is one of the most amazing big Sportsman out there, and yet, no one has got it yet so I can sleep at night. Please. someone buy this twin K pre war masterbeast. PLEASE. Thankfully I do not have the funds, but I sure got the drool cup. Northwind has it all. And yes I have been drooling all over her for years. I think I fist had a heart beat skip back on Torch Lake.
It is an older restoration, but she hasnt been used all that much and when that is, its in perfect fresh water. It’s a 1937, Stinky is a 1937.. A theme. Maybe they knew each other at the plant? Maybe they share some of the same lumber. Lumber Sisters?
Why do these twin engines get me? I like the idea of over doing it, and maneuvering is amazingly easy. And if one goes out, you can limp home on the other.
Its that little bow lettering that really gets me. I am a sucker for graphics. And that swoosh is perfect.
I wonder if the interior is the original color, I would love a crazy apple green one with a yellow hull. But thats an easy fix.
Please someone.. PAAAAAAAAAALLLLEEEEEEAAAASSSSSEEEE buy it for the sake of whats left of my sanity
YOU CAN BUY IT HERE AT DAVE BORTNER’S SITE FREEDOM BOAT SERVICE
Dave Bortner brought her to Algonac a few years ago and cruised over to Bryson’s island on her. Beautiful and rare Chris Craft model that got a lot of drools at the show.
Not helpful Greg!
If you have to ask how much? Beautiful boat. Just know Matt you are not alone!
Cool boat!!!
$225K? A bit aggressive for me, besides I would probably not buy it because it has too much Smith drool all over it. I am in love with Baby Chick. Probably be $350K before I was done with that one.
Wait, is that a knot in the transom. or just rot?
Eagle eye. Dream breaker.
🙏❤️
There’s always that one that’s out of reach. It keeps us grounded.
Very nice but you’d have to change the name to “Double Trouble”
The transom shot in the story is 10+ years old, here’s a current one.
I think the coolest thing about this boat is the two fold-up seat backs, so it feels like a triple with both seat backs up, but still has the utility of, well, a utility.
Here’s a current transom photo, the one in the story is old.
The two fold-up seat backs are a cool feature of this boat, folded up, it has the feel of a triple.
Molly-O has the Sportsmen front seat configuration with the center fold up seat back, but it only looks like a single. 😉
Late to the party today. I have been out enjoying the water on this beautiful U P day! All I can say is buy it Matt, you can swing it, make him an offer he can’t refuse. They say when you get old you only regret the things you didn’t do.
Twin Sportsmans are my dream.
