Pony On Up To The Barboard, Watch Your Feet.

The Barboard
Yesterday as part of the pre-clean-up at HQ for the Boatress’s event on Sunday, Waynebomb had a great idea for all those pesky Outboards that keep showing up at the railway. I sear they just keep growing. I have planted all the props out in the yard as a Proppy Feild. And nuth’n. But old outboards? WOW, Like Day lilies. So any idea as to what to with them is great. And so.. with some simple wood out in the pile.. Screws, and some saw’n we got us a Bbarboard.

Mr B is very impressed.

We also got the Skiffany flipped, and WOW, she has amazing lines and is a row boat. I hadnt even bothered to look and see when we grabbed her. We also have a special name now and will milk…reveil it tomorrow. Get out your tissues

Yes that is mahogany. BUT. Kinda messes up, BEE’s! Yes Bee holes and a Boo boo, so it will be painted Green today

The plan! Stay tuned.. More cleaning up on Isle Reedville
The garage at the island got a similar rail installed (2x6x12′). It works great for small outboards that seem to follow me home. I mounted it about shoulder height to leave more room along the floor. Reedville is looking awesome, thanks for sharing the progress!
Put a lid on that skiff and it will make a nice bone box.
Or for the skiff, once you’ve prettied up her insides, you could fill her with ice and then canned soda, beer, THC drinks etc. The good ol beer trough.

Railway looking great…got to cover those props though….??? John in Va
Looking good!

My work neighbor was on his way to the scrap yard with this and remembered I’ve been rebuilding a boat
He gave it to me monkey wards!
Still turns over
When matt comes through Chicago next I’ll have him check the coil
Thanks woodyboater
Very cool. The only problem with it is, you didn’t leave any room for more outboards. That display needs a CC Commander.
I am thinking you need to plan on a WALL OF MOTORS, you could get another couple level of rows of outboards up there.
Late to the party today. I’ll believe it or not. I had work to do today. Outboards just have a way of multiplying. Here is part of my collection. The great thing about these is that they all run and I use them almost every year some every year
I spotted a CC 51/2 Challenger in one of Matts shots so he does have at least one.
