Now this is marketing. I think?

It’s been a while. A Sausage Saturday. It is Saturday? Right? I honestly don’t know anymore. What I do know its warmer, and I am headed to HQ, crank up the music and disappear into my post vaccinated universe and get the boats ready.

I need to look at my hull card, but I am 90% sure that Peterson Co in San Francisco is the dealer my Chris Craft was sold through originally. I might need to add the photo to the collection!

Nope, I was wrong. Delivered to John G Rapp Co.

Peterson looks like it was down by the water. Rapp was right in the middle of downtown.

I was supposed to be in the Reedville area to inspect the railway progress today, but my daughter’s regatta was moved to NJ for COVID reasons. I have no idea how anyone could have thought NJ was a better bet than Virginia, but they did.

Off to see if this hotel has any bacon…

I went kayaking recently at Silver Springs and it still looks the same except Betty & Bert were missing. They still run the glass bottom tour boat.

Loved the 65 Chevy 1/2 ton in the picture. Two friends and I took a Chevy like that with a camper cap on it to Daytona Beach for Spring Break in the 70s. Campgrounds were all full, so they let us stay on the beach, as long as someone was awake at all times. This made for some great all night college partying.

Mark, I had a similar trip back then to Mazatlan in a ’56 Ford pickup. Plenty of adventure for sure. Couldn’t get away with it today, or care to try.
