Seaing Red At The Global HQ

Red was everywhere!
Wayne bomb and I started to put the first coat of Red on and we had to shut the doors cause it was literally blinding us. The intensity of this red is insane. And it feels like varnish going on. And man oh man does it ever lay flat. WOW. But it sure is RED! Of course I had to take pictures. Wayne was not amused. Which amused me, and so on.

Now the blue looks like an ass sandwhich.

The transom is starting to look good.

Wet Sanding, I used my thumb as a guid.

Love the light on this image

Reflections of a spray bottle

Water beads.

THATS RED!

Red is a sea of color

Smooth finish in a sea of textures, this almost feels like a painting, that of course I am living in, which is a mind meld in the making.
That looks really nice! It makes quite a difference in the boats appearance. Nice job! Once again…I love “Stinky” progress report stories. You even had Mr B in a shot!
Matt, that looks really good! Now what about that hull and bottom?
the header pic today is maybe one of my favorites!
…agree – killer image, like it lots!
Happy to see blue sky and sunshine in the background. It disappeared up here and and clouds are forecast for the next week.
Gonna be in the 80’s here this weekend, and then all hell freezes over. 50! How will we survive?
Great to see some beautiful boat colors besides gray these days!!!
Like Staib said, cloudy forever and calling for snow on Halloween here in northern MI!!!
When’s Mt. Dora???? 😄
Looking especially good and great pix! Going to the boat today to Go Boating!

Your life is a Painting…
…an ass sandwich? Never heard those three words together before. Please explain.
We’re missing some detail here. Did I miss something? Is this a Kirby paint color? An enamel? So it looks like two coats with sanding in between. Did you just brush or a rolling tip?
Yes – – Perfect Sun Alignment at Headquarters- – Boathenge – – the Stonehenge of Virginia – – The power of shadows – –
Nice water feature with stunning water drops – –
Thank You
So on the deck it looks like a combination of hood sweat and tears
The paint and varnish look awesome, the lifting rings look better but still not up to MY ocd standards’.
Ok, I’ll bite too. What color red are you using?
Stinky is looking splendid!
Looking good! – Now, about those hull sides and bottom… 😉 Doing a little “gasping” today – the Red & White has been in the water for about a month – first splash in about three years. I’ve been getting it soaked up and put some hours on the new motor, but the temp this morning was 33 degrees, so back on the trailer it goes and into the shop for the winter. I’ll get it all put back together, detailed and finished up in the spring.
This is the best part of a project. The more you do now, the better it looks. Much more fun than stripping and sanding. Looking Good!
Details man details!!!!
Are you machine compounding and final polishing? Looks incredible!
Looking really good since I was there.
No machine buffing, RED 16 from Epifanes, Sides got a first coat today. Its kinda over kill for this little stinker. I have to stop before it gets obsesvive.
I think that ship has already sailed, Matt.
