Seaing Red At The Global HQ

,

Red was everywhere!

Wayne bomb and I started to put the first coat of Red on and we had to shut the doors cause it was literally blinding us. The intensity of this red is insane. And it feels like varnish going on. And man oh man does it ever lay flat. WOW. But it sure is RED!  Of course I had to take pictures. Wayne was not amused. Which amused me, and so on.

Now the blue looks like an ass sandwhich.

The transom is starting to look good.

Wet Sanding, I used my thumb as a guid.

Love the light on this image

Reflections of a spray bottle

Water beads.

THATS RED!

Red is a sea of color

Smooth finish in a sea of textures, this almost feels like a painting, that of course I am living in, which is a mind meld in the making.

That looks really nice! It makes quite a difference in the boats appearance. Nice job! Once again…I love “Stinky” progress report stories. You even had Mr B in a shot!

We’re missing some detail here. Did I miss something? Is this a Kirby paint color? An enamel? So it looks like two coats with sanding in between. Did you just brush or a rolling tip?

Looking good! – Now, about those hull sides and bottom… 😉 Doing a little “gasping” today – the Red & White has been in the water for about a month – first splash in about three years. I’ve been getting it soaked up and put some hours on the new motor, but the temp this morning was 33 degrees, so back on the trailer it goes and into the shop for the winter. I’ll get it all put back together, detailed and finished up in the spring.

This is the best part of a project. The more you do now, the better it looks. Much more fun than stripping and sanding. Looking Good!
