And illustrates what I have been saying about our classic boat culture’s transference to an art form vs boat restoration. Today we are featuring Seth Kiedaisch from BirdsEyeWoodWork. His brand and, and, and..well. WOW! I love seeing, and feeling the passion alive and flourishing. Here is a note and photos from Seth.

I’m always looking for interesting projects.” Thats it. like most folks in New Hampshire, and man of few words, and amazing craft. Let the work do the talk’n! The thunderbolt was a project I got to work on while working for Bo And Kathy Muller at Muller Boatworks. Miss Mary I built from scratch I redesigned Hackers Miss APBA. And the Chris Craft is a 1952 semi enclosed twin screw ordered from the factory not “enclosed” thanks Matt!
Seth, I have never seen a CC semi enclosed without a hard top over the cockpit. That’s why I thought it was an express!

I owned a 1950 28′ Chris Craft Semi Enclosed Cruiser that was special ordered without the “semi enclosed hardtop”. It was ordered for the Lake Winnebago (Wisconsin) waters with a folding soft top. With help from a researchist at the CC Archives at the Mariner’s Museum, a factory drawing of the boat was found with the folding soft top. It was delivered with two ML engines. I hoped to restore it but never had a large enough heated workshop to work on it, so I had to let it go. The boat was still for sale this summer in the Minneapolis area. I thought it was a very restorable boat. I know of one more that came without the Semi enclosed hardtop and is in beautiful restored condition. They are very nice boats. Great work Seth on all of your wood projects.
This one was the 26 foot 1952, as far as I know the only one like it but I certainly could be wrong. Great boat!

Matt, have you done stories on figureheads? They’re so garish and impractical, but totally cool nonetheless. I want one now! Maybe some longhorns, lol?…
