Someone Save Syd! 8 Days Til All Is Back To Normal… Kinda, Whatever Normal Is These Days.

Next Stop Sydville

If you are getting a little cabin fever, there is a cure. LAKE DORA in 7 Days! Yes, and if you left now, you could kinda fake it. trust me, folks are having fun there, some cool vintage boat races, and those Jalapeño Poppers are always in the fryer in Florida.  Of course Syd Marsden is not waiting at home. He has decided to resurrect an old train set. But with a vintage boat theme. For the record, we may all be old enough to be parents, even Grandparents. But mentally? I wouldn’t trust any of us to, to, to… well ya.

Beautiful train board. My dad worked on his for years whenever he could find time from running his busy accounting firm.

Sorry Matt, the video took me back to being a 10 year old kid. Now back to the present, Syd, you need help.

Now he needs the “log loader”, “sawmill” & “lumber loader” sets – to make mahogany planks for a miniature Chris Craft factory!

Great train layout Syd. The boats on the flatbed cars just bring it all together.

    Matt,
Are you going to lobby to update the model railroad at the Reedville Fisherman’s Museum train layout to reflect the WoodyBoater World Headquarters?. Maybe sneek in a scale model of Sweet Pea up on the rails? I wonder how many hours that would take to create?

Nice way to end the work day by seeing this.
The train layout is the Cayuga Valley Model RR club located in Auburn NY
We are always looking for new members
In case anyone sees this I am on the search for any of the boats made that are not in the line up. Especially the on from a couple of years ago done up with US coast Guard markings thanks Syd

Is that little toot leaving the C-C plant in Algonac. The layout kinda looks familiar. …. Just kidding. But real nice train set and landscape. Good job Syd.

Here’s a picture of my Lionel boat shipper. I believe that it is an “O” gauge. Not a train guy, but I thought that the boat fit my collection.

A Fay Bowen launched from a boxcar on Lake George. Fairly frequent occurrence in the summer months until 1958 when the rails to Glens Falls were removed. But the rails in the lake? Still there! Look down from your boat and they can be seen.
