Speaking Of Burgee’s. Good Grief! Bernie Madoff’s Burgee On eBay!

Worth over $1,000?

Well, Bernie seems to be still taking more money out of your pockets, only this time it’s some left overs, and from England to boot. So, not only do you need to be such a Madoff freek that you want to pay over $1,000 for a burgee, or really a FBI sticker, but ya gotta deal with buying this from the UK.

The sticker is worth?

So if it aint the real deal, you have to pay to fly over there and punch the seller in the schnocker. So? Got some money to burn…ie? Wow, that was a long road to that joke. Sorry.. Too good to not say it.

Matt – you’re out there again today. Need a vacation ? I know I do.

I found someone that works at my company named “Mahogany Brown”. Someone has a sick sense of humor.

Hopefully we get some window of rain free weather this weekend so I go BOATING.

Oh boy. A burgee story yesterday and then all this today just to set up “money to burn…ie?” Matt must be suffering from insufficient bacon in his diet. Or maybe it is a chocolate deficiency. Either way, I suggest immediate treatment.

Luckily I have a new 5.7L (350 cuin) SBC for the Penn Yan showing up this afternoon, so the whole day won’t be a waste!

It’s been raining here for days already and also in forecast right through this coming weekend. I think I’m starting to get moldy. Soon I’m going to be able to boat in the street so right now I’ll take ANY boat related story. Think I’ll pass on this item though.

I would have thought this was Bernie’s burgee although, hopefully, that’s what’s happening to him while he does time.

It looks like whoever wrote the ebay add got a bit confused between the Montauk and New York Yacht Clubs. NYYC will actually be competing in the next Americas Cup in 2021 and their crew is currently training out here in Long Beach, Ca. My grandfather was a member and he always flew the NYYC burgee. I think he cried the day they unbolted the cup from from its pedestal and we were never ever to say the words Dennis Conner. There’s your white star again.
