Speaking Of Sexy Printers Ink. The Ramsey Bros Found A Treasure Trove Of Chris Craft Label Plates.
Woody Boater stories go all sorts of fun places. And today, yesterdays sexy print ink story takes us to Toledo Ohio. Now officially the sexiest place on earth. The great guys at Ramsey Bros Restoration found some very cool Chris Craft Printer Plates next door at an old print shop that shut down.
Talk about a treasure. Okay we will.
Here it is and how they print.
Very cool, even printed on a period correct printer
These original plates allow an official reprint of cans of paint, varnish and all sorts of cool stuff. We are not sure about paint and varnish in the cans, but the labels are cool. Right now they are trying to figure out what do do with these lables. The Ramsey Bros are gifted in finding this sort of history and sharing it. Got any ideas?
They restore beautiful boats, houses and even Boat Co’s with Dart Boat Co. Who knew Toledo was such a happening place? And now Sexy! If you want to go to there show, guess what? There is one in a couple weeks. August 26th. Bring your wife/Friend. Rub one of these suckers all over you with that fresh printers ink. You can see more of the show information HERE
Use them for temporary tattoos on people. I can see people walking around Tahoe literally wearing the Chris Craft brand.
There was a waitress in a restaurant in Algonac several years ago that had the Chris Craft logo tatooed on her shoulder. She got some really good tips!
Press them into white bed sheets and then you can sleep with your “lifestyle” anywhere and anytime!
So, if Tommy Holmes (the sexiest man in WoodyBoaterVille) goes to the show in Toledo (the sexiest place on earth) we won’t be able to keep the women away!
OK, is this fake news?? That engine paint is an old original on my shelf.
Dang, looks like it is. I know the yellow ones are fresh printed and this was an image sent to me without a caption. But the plate is there.
Those are priceless. If nothing else, they’d make beautiful prints, framed, on really fine paper. They’re art.
… put some weights in a qt can and use it for book ends on your library shelf — perfect!
I give the labels and cans a Very Nice, if they were filled with original formulation and color paint they’d get a PRICELESS!!!!
those are really neat! wonder if current iteration of CC has a copyright or any such? sorry I mentioned that……
Yes, Chris Craft owns the copyright and trademark. So that’s why these cant be sold. There would need to be an agreement with Chris Craft.
