Thanks To Each And Everyone Of You For Your Generous Donations.
As we enter the 4th day of pledge week, we would like to thank each of you, Over 50 donations came in over the past three days amounting to $3,500. But we still have a ways to go to meet last years pledge week. With 50 donations we still have room to go. We also would like to thank our regular photo donations. Don Ayers, Texx, Steve Natale,, Alex Watson, who make the site fun to look at. nd great stories from Cohberg Kid, John Bass, Alex Watson, David Konick, and to all the local chapters that send in great show up dates. This is certainly a team effort.
If this worked out in a perfect world, even 10% of the readers donating would be huge.. HUGE.. So if you are drooling all over today’s Don Ayers , and Texx, photos for free. Feel the guilt.. For the price of a doughnut, which by the way you should not be eating, you could help keep Woody Boater subscription free. Glad to help, hitting the Donate Button is easy….hey Matt, try hitting the spell check button now an then….just as easy…on second thought….nahhhh….let’s keep it natural…..
thanks for all you do,
John in Va.
Sorry, we couldn’t give more…
Keep up the good work!
I spend how much on cable TV each month for what??? Hitting the donate button is a no brainer.
One month of Cable TV wasteland is a good comparo. A Starbucks coffee habit, a tank of gas, or a meal on the town are also good comparisons.
WoodyBoater is there daily, tho.
Do you get $0.15 value from visiting this blog each day? If you do, that adds up to about $50 per year.
Step up good people. You’ll never notice, or miss, the 15 cents a day. But this blog will sure value it.
I took the recurring payment option for 5 bucks a month. If 10% of the 5K lookers did this that would be 30K. Painless as can be. Worth more than that.
I like the comparisons above to the cost of cable for a month…while I look at WB almost daily, I don’t pay that much attention to TV. So WoodyBoater is worth MORE to me than cable — if you feel the same, let that be your guide.
Nice header, BTW, Matt and Texx…at Tahoe I saw my first and second CC Special Race Boats, and here they both are underway. Lovely.
Better late than never.
On behalf of the Chris-Craft Antique Boat Club and its Board of Directors we would like to donate $400 to Woodyboater.
Thank you for the contribution you make to the hobby and the support of the Club and the Brass Bell publication
Don, I applaud the CCABC gift to WB, supporting the “bullhorn” that promotes our special kind of madness.
I had hoped to meet you at Tahoe to thank you for something else more personal, but ran out of time. I have you to thank for moving me from “interested” in these boats to actually owning one. You may not recall, but four years ago you directed me to the Antique Boat Center, which had Matt’s ’41 Custom for sale. My wife and I drove to Cincinnati and bought “Sylvia” the next weekend.
Since then, I’ve encouraged at least a dozen potential wooden boat owners to join the club; I think a couple have.
That’s the way it has to work…one new member at a time.
So thanks, Don, for taking the time and making the effort to push me over the edge. I’ve loved my new hobby and met many fine people who have helped me earn my “sea legs,” especially the guys in the Northeast Ohio Chapter of ACBS.
Hope to see you at an upcoming show.
