One month of Cable TV wasteland is a good comparo. A Starbucks coffee habit, a tank of gas, or a meal on the town are also good comparisons.

    WoodyBoater is there daily, tho.

Do you get $0.15 value from visiting this blog each day? If you do, that adds up to about $50 per year.

Step up good people. You’ll never notice, or miss, the 15 cents a day. But this blog will sure value it.

I took the recurring payment option for 5 bucks a month. If 10% of the 5K lookers did this that would be 30K. Painless as can be. Worth more than that.

I like the comparisons above to the cost of cable for a month…while I look at WB almost daily, I don’t pay that much attention to TV. So WoodyBoater is worth MORE to me than cable — if you feel the same, let that be your guide.

Nice header, BTW, Matt and Texx…at Tahoe I saw my first and second CC Special Race Boats, and here they both are underway. Lovely.

    Matt,

    Better late than never.

On behalf of the Chris-Craft Antique Boat Club and its Board of Directors we would like to donate $400 to Woodyboater.

Thank you for the contribution you make to the hobby and the support of the Club and the Brass Bell publication

    Best regards

Don, I applaud the CCABC gift to WB, supporting the “bullhorn” that promotes our special kind of madness.

I had hoped to meet you at Tahoe to thank you for something else more personal, but ran out of time. I have you to thank for moving me from “interested” in these boats to actually owning one. You may not recall, but four years ago you directed me to the Antique Boat Center, which had Matt’s ’41 Custom for sale. My wife and I drove to Cincinnati and bought “Sylvia” the next weekend.

Since then, I’ve encouraged at least a dozen potential wooden boat owners to join the club; I think a couple have.

That’s the way it has to work…one new member at a time.

So thanks, Don, for taking the time and making the effort to push me over the edge. I’ve loved my new hobby and met many fine people who have helped me earn my “sea legs,” especially the guys in the Northeast Ohio Chapter of ACBS.

Hope to see you at an upcoming show.
