The Coolest Boat Hat E…V..E…R!

Antique 1910s Nautical Yachting Boat Captain Cap possible Size 7-1/4 With Union Label.

This could become the new hat for 2021 WoodyBoaters. Its cot the softness of a modern hat, with looking like a costume prop, and yet retains the look of classic headgear. I LOVE IT! Not sure $95 worth love it. BUT okay, like it enough to maybe go to dinner a couple times with. maybe a show. But take home to mom love?  maybe.. Okay where was I.. Oh ya hats. This hat.

The African Queen Hat? Note there is a difference though.

Bogarts hat does not have the black band. Still is cool and could still work either way. The small strap is the key to the look for sure.

A crusher, baseball, captians hat all in one

I love the texture of the cloth, the shape, hell, even the logo on the tag is perfection. With this you can look like a captain without looking like a dork. Sorry, time is not kind on fashion, and if the herd is wearing it it makes it normal.. But this does both.

It’s 7 1/4 and I am a 7 5/8 so all I could do it look at it in pain.

THE LOGO – The start of the Handshake cliche art

The texture of the cloth is the secret to its look.

I AM ON IT! I am taking these photos and going to try and source it. See if it can be built for a reasonable price.

Bogie’s hair was thinning around the time of this movie and a hat as us aging males know, can cover some of the slings and arrows time throws at us.

    If that hat could talk.

I feel your pain, I’m a 7 5/8 also. Finding a hat, any hat that does not look ridiculous on me is not easy. My boat is from the 1920’s so I tried on the paper boy hat (see Photo).
It was so big it looked like a garbage can lid!

I’m 7 5/8 as well. I have always figured that more brains require a bigger storage compartment. Matt if you find a hat source, please order a whole bunch of 7 5/8. It sounds like we have some demand.

Well, it will be in our ship’s store display case this summer…………of course, it will never fit my thick head though.
    Just ask my wife!
