The Mystery Red Stool!
The other day when we featured Troys stunning Chris Craft cruiser, I noticed a small detail in one of the photos. A small Red wood Standing stool next to the boat. Now, normal people wouldn’t notice that. buy I have super stupid powers. As in, I notice things that are stupid! So, please read on with that knowledge. And this does have some sort of point…ish.

Now, when we got WECATCHEM, there was also a little red stool. So, here is the strange question. Are these little red standing stools old ,and part of boating history? Red for safety?

Or is it just a strange coincidence, and Troy forgot? Or is it just strange? Or am I just strange, and am seeing things in Stools. OK, wait, not a Pun, I am not a DR. Just a nut job that is trying to write stories about obscure things, that may not even be things. DAMMM it, I forgot my meds this morning again. That drive to Buffalo and back through New Jersey to DC last night was a little rough. Yes 1,100 miles in one day! comment freely today, I will be alseep! But we have some great stories ahead.
It is no coincidence that two complete (and aging) weirdos would end up with the same stool from Walmart and then use it to get in and out of their money pits…I mean classic boats!

Speeking of stool, I am at the Edgewater Marina in Cleveland. It is surrounded by the Northwest Ohio Regional Sewer District treatment plant. It smells like stool here!

Actually boarding steps (nay…stools) were quite common on the old cruisers and their docks. The one Matt has is likely not of the ancient nautical variety because the legs are long and flat on the bottom….too tippy on a dock or boat….now the one in the pic next to Troy’s classic….that one has the right legs….and I know legs and sterns and all those things.

Oddly enough when I am on my other cruiser I experience a white stool. (helps a guy with short little legs get up on that tall bed.
Boy it’s a good thing that it wasn’t a brown stool.!
