The War Got In The Way. Cir Craft Joy.

Under cover?

A huge thanks to Ronald A Enriquez from Long Island for sending us in this quick note. This is why we do this site, to connect people and their foggy memory of the joys of youth. Here is the note.

Looks like a lot of fun

War got in the way.
Coming from NY and Long Island nothing beats a wood boat. Give me a Grady White, Thompson Eltro, Lynman and the list goes on. However in 1969 our wood boat dealer had a oddball boat his son was selling. He had a bunch. It was a Cir Craft, bright yellow. I Loved it being 18 and stupid. However The war got in my way and I had to enlist and my boat became a memory once I went to Thailand. I only had a few Polaroid pictures and memories. Somehow I managed to locate that dealer and we have been messaging back and forth. So I went on a search and found the picture you had in your magazine in 2011.

I guess we are starting to embrace this form of water transportation here at WoodyBoater, WoodyFloater, ………..

There is one of those sitting outside of the boat house restaurant in Disney springs at Disney World. Like everything else in Disney it is restored perfect and polished daily. The boathouse is a neat place to eat and have a couple of beers, and look at all the neat stuff they have there.
