This Months Mecum Auction. Much More Than The Last Riva

, , ,

You have seen all the ads touting the “Last Riva” for this months Mecum auction.. But, ohhhhhh there is so much more.  If you click on the Mecum auction Kissimmee FLA on The 17th auction you will find a wide array of cool classic boat stuff mixed in with new corvettes with new front ends on them.. OK there is a killer  F – Code 57 T bird in there.. And .. wait, stay focused.. Anyway. Look around.. Terry Feists 21 foot Hemi powered… Ohhhhh!  Slurp…. Cobra, I am slurping over the Cobra, not Terry for the record….A cool Runabout, Hacker designed Hutchinson Commuter. Some very cool hard to find signs.. Pedal cars… stay focused….  Any way.. its worth a click.. Here are some images of some of the stuff..

A Very Nice Hutchinson 36 foot Commuter, Hacker Design

1948 Century Sea maid.. Despite its name it does not end here.. Oh they are going to love you long time in FLA!

More signs, lots of cool marine signs

And if this tasty 1934 Chris – Craft Deluxe Runabout gets away.. Aparently you will get an encore performance.. no lighters please!

Ahhh crap! Next we will need an HR department.. HA.. That is a great point.. I will write one. But I know in my heart.. No email adresses will be harvested or used or shared.. I really dont want to know who folks are if they want to stay private.. The feedjit on the left thing honestly creeps me out, but is fun to watch.. Write a privacy policy and i will use it..

Matt, I think you just wrote a good privacy policy. Just add “I swear on a stack if CC Manuals the above is true” and you’re done.

It would be fun to have both Cobras, the CC and the Shelby but I don’t think my wife would approve (fun to dream). Terry Fiest’s 1955, 21′ Chris-Craft Cobra is the best of the best, IMHO. I wish him well!!!

If you’re going to have a privacy policy how about also offering medical and dental policies also? Instead of ObamaCare we’d have WoodyCare. This would offer coverage for when your spouse shoots you for bring home another boat. Of coarse then there’s also all sorts of HIPA issues also! And you’ll need a NPI # since this is all done electronically. Suddenly your old blog is looking good again? HMMMMM.

Hang tough Matt. Put on a Woody hat and t-shirt, grab a beer and think of spring.

HA, I spit my lunch out.. I will enjoy the privacy policy.. I suppose its the need to put in your email into the comment that is bugging folks.. I get that.. That and the real time deal is just a bit much.. But its the world we live in.. Survay coming tomorrow

I think you can opt out of the feedjit by clicking on “menu” and choosing not to be ID’d. I did it this morning. Of course, I don’t know if it works yet. I don’t want you guys to see me going to the “aluminum boat” site after I’m done here!

I have found an old mahogany 7 meter long boat in a barn in southern France. It looks like a Riva yacht launch although I can’t be sure. I believe it is 1930s and is in need of full restoration.
The hull looks sound but it lacks a motor and gear box.
I have lots of photos and would appreciate help in identifying it.
    Regards,
    David
