Update From Woody Boater Global HQ

,

Mr B enjoys some new lights

Yesterdays story turned into one of my favorite stories of the year. Mind you we are only about 10 days in, but Art’s additional comment made it a memorable story for sure. Hopefully we can find the boat involved. It also brings up another observation. The importance of having one place to see and talk with each other. As we move forward into 2022, I am going to try and make Woody Boater more of a useful tool for all of us.

Mr “B”ench is officially getting trashed.

As you can see in some of these images. HQ is starting to be more complete, and ready for hopefully an area to meet in human form. I am still trying to figure out how it all works together.

Slapped two pieces of plywood together to make the HQ sign

After some priming, some paint and the trial and error of hand done sign making.

The colors match the building color pallet

Working in the warmth of the basement at home.

It’s more of a painting than a sign.. Ugh. Hey, its Art.. Not Art Molly O art, but Picasso Art. As in.. hard to tell what it is.

One side done..ish

Added a Band around the sign and the ®

And installed with some old ring bolts found in the parts room

Like it was always there. Woody Boater Global HQ located at The Reedville Marine Railway.

AND!!!!!! – This week we have an amazing story for you on pre war Tether Boats. No Troy, not Leather Boats. STAY TUNED!

Love the shop! You need a big old wood stove in there to take off the chill on those cold mornings. Great to gather around. The restored antique stoves from the 1800’s are beautiful and work great.

I love the idea of an old wood stove. Except that it scares the crap out of me to have any fire near that place.

If you want that one from Doug in Maine we could probably meet up and bring it down in March.

      Just sayin’!

With good reason, My experience with old wood stoves is they are a lot of work to keep going and with little or no insulation are only warm right around the stove. Stove pipes also crack after a few years and create fires.

My Art is nowhere near your Art, I have a rough time drawing a straight line …..or is it rope.

BTW the last I looked the brochure is up to $102.50 ………I want it but not that much.

My owners got one of those propane stoves that vents air in and exhaust out in a stovepipe. He had to put guard on so I wouldn’t stick my tail and nose on the glass again.
