Waldo’s Big Race!

RACE ON!

Need a little break from all that 2020 has given us? Maybe a little race might help. Somehow I can relate with the Little Rascals here. Thanks to Brian Robinson for the moment. And Darla? Dang, you sure put Waldo through the emotional mill. The Little Rascals is still one of my favorite things to watch. And always guaranteed to bring a timeless smile.

    The 1st commenter today Damn! You have to love the 30s and Hollywood. Building and running boats, no adult supervision, no life jackets. But the water was only knee deep. The falls? And inner racial friendship. How cool is all of this. Darla did put Alfalfa thru the ringer. Fun to watch.

    Carl Switzer who played Alfalfa died from a gunshot to the groin over a $50 dispute in January 1959. Oh Darla!

    no fricking lie THIS was part of my initiation and addiction TO classic boating….I tried to make a boat like Alfalfa had in this vid. Swear to god. Darla may have been added inspiration too.

    Sadly the real Darla, yes her original name Darla Hood, passed away at age 45. And still had the look.
