Well, It’s Fall. And Well, SAUSAGE TIME!
Here we go again, Fall. The beginning of the dirge of content for us. We do have some col stories coming in. Stay tuned. But today I need to clear the fridge of some small story parts. YUP. A FALL SAUSAGE DAY. So sit back and enjoy a day of story loaf, a story stew, and SAUSAGE! I already miss boat shows.
Can you IMAGINE the backlash that these matchbooks would create if they were released today? 🙂 🙂 I like the captions.

Hey and they dont have any tattoos ?
One little tattoo is sexy. A boat load…not so much. IMO.
With everyone getting more tattoos than a cool Maori warrior nowadays, in about thirty years the old folks homes are just gonna be gross…..all those white blotchy skinned saggy tattoos…
You are right about those matchbooks…made today?
Amen, brother !!!

He is probably having a martini at 3:00 pm at the cocktail bar he built in his family room in 1967….thinking of the good ol days….
Sexy matchbook covers were popular in the 50s. I never saw any as a kid. My parents must have shielded me from it. Saw this one on the internet this morning. I wander what curb service ment.
That “Fry’s Bait & Tackle” cushion is awesome.
I always say “Tattoos are good for one thing: Identifying the body…” That argument kept our kids from getting them, anyway! 😊
What is that boat that looks similar to a Red and White with a hardtop?
That is a Steelcraft.
Love these old pix and post cards!
The “ready to camp” photo here on Harsens Island would be someone going to a “lug Island” We have lots of cottages here that are only accessible by water and EVERYTHING must be “lugged to the cottage” ergo Lug Island.
I am almost positive this photo of the cool dude on the left in the Capatins cap and beard is from Floyd R Turbos personal photo archive. Floyd – are you out there?
Dang, I found it on ebay.
I love the styrofoam koozie, that the guy on the right has in his hand. I would bet thats a Schlitz tall boy sticking out of it. Good times.
