What Season Is Your Classic Boat?

Springtime
Just adding to the pile of reasons to own more than one boat. Yesterday, I was looking out there and the leaves are kinda starting to change and the way the sun sits lower creates a definite feeling of fall. I was looking at Stinky… Not a metaphor by the way for those of you new here. Anyway, I was looking at her cause I could have just plopped her in the water and gone stink’n but her color pallet is all wrong for the fall colors.

mmmm, one is fall one is summer
So this of course sparked an idea for a story. Is your pastel colored boat ride for fall? And with that said is your dark green boat right for spring and summer?

Spring!
Part of the fun of owning a classic Woody Boat is the setting she is in, and becoming part of the scene. By the way, varnish is like black, its always in style. So, if you have made the bold choice to lets say own a dark blue boat. You may consider accessorizing with some other boats. Maybe every time your wife Imelda buys a pair of shoes, you get a boat. SEE! you now have some more ammo to go buy another boat. Call your barn a Closet. Who cares, you have another woody boat..

Summer and Spring and all year in Florida.

SPRING FOR SURE

Hurricane season! And defiantly Fall

Fall! And 1976 and July 4th weekend

Spring!

SUMMER, July 4th

Texas!

You can accessorize to the season.

Add is car like objects and it gets wonky!
I think accessorizing is a good idea!
The more the merrier!
Troy that is a great picture. Matt… not digging your equal photo. Your new influencer, Kardashian role is taking you in a different direction. 😁
Very nice burgee
Well, I see where this is going! And way to go! SUMMER
Fall , hey I am an equal opportunity sexist
Unfortunately, we don’t have 4 boating seasons here! My “Fall” boat was winterized yesterday evening and will go into hibernation in a few hours. Temps hit 34 Friday night, and a freeze can now hit anytime with short notice.
To truly extend the season, more than proper color, I would need a closed cooling setup with antifreeze or a quick draining outboard. Or a winter home further South. Much further south, like New Zealand maybe.
What would Phil say if we all showed up during our mid winter and asked for a ride to hold us over?
Gray skies, grey hull!
It’s fall y’all…
Beautiful color with friends
I have a ‘60 Cavalier (Matt’s ski girl photo is the cover of that brochure) for cruising season and a ‘72 Martinique for ski season. Those seasons frequently occur in the same day during boating season.
Vintage Mercury Outboards, anyone?
Living 4 hours away from our summer home in the off season means early to bed. I’ll have to live vicariously this fall through all of your beautiful Fall ride pics. Please keep them coming!
Troy is a master at accessorizing….
Wimps! I not only went boating yesterday…ahead of the storm…I did a dive under and prop scrape…..hoping Mr. Happy comes out of retraction/hibernation sometime today….
Wind and rain today.

Frankly, our boat is like an all season radial tire….always on, always getting you where you want to go in all seasons, safe and dependable.
Cabin is closed for the season. Dock has been taken out. Almost all boats are winterized, Except for one. Wasn’t it Jan and Dean who sang” Gotta take that one last ride”.
My boat’s season? Construction.
