Whoops Is Dora Ready-ish

She now has a checkered past.
And so the yearly tradition, ritual is still going, but it appears we are ready for the lake time this upcoming week at Lake Dora. Small details are being picked at, and so on. I may even clean the Woodyboatermobile for the trip.

The metal strip in the seat is for the back of the seat. And yes, the floor needs to be cleaned

Mr B is impressed. There are two stainless trim pieces missing on the transom

Engine box is amazing and weighs 1/3 of the old one. And yes the floor needs cleaning

Crappy Windshield is on. Thats next on the list. This is the wrong one anyway, and the original ones are hard as hell to find

We added a little touch to the newish throttle.
Hell you don’t have anything else to do……………….clean the friggen floor
WhOOps looks great with the stern completed! Art is right, if the floor can be cleaned..! I think I can see Mr “B” wondering if you really are planning on leaving him home! I wish the Boatress and you the best of times at Dora! Take loads of photos!
It’s funny that you call out the items that need attention to cut off criticism from the peanut gallery
….but we still do anyways.. 🙂
It looks good. I’ll have to admit I was a bit skeptical, but it turned out all right.
So how did the checker board pattern on the front deck come out?
Whoops is looking good! Screw on the trim, swab the floors, and hit the road!
I’m concerned that the upholstery pattern on the bottom of the stern seat does not appear to line up with the back… 😉 The boat is looking great! Have fun in Dora!
Clean the floor?????? You are going to be using her — its’ only going to get dirty again.
Ya, I tried that one on my wife! I ended up cleaning the garage anyway!
Overall appearance is great for a restomod user boat! Noticing the side shifter, and never realized the 1961 17′ ski boats did not have a sharp chine. Let’s hope there are no whoops that happen, make sure there is a tow rope under the aft seat, that way you won’t have to use it!
nice upgrades for whoops, that engine hatch looks huge! you must have power to spare.
Day 2 not there but over the border
