Witch Paddle And The Sons Of Halloween, I Can’t Make This Stuff Up.

We got in this wonderful heartwarming yet scary story fgrom long time fellow Woody Boaters Jeremy and Misty regarding a special event they do up in Michigan. I am so moving up there. These folks are nuts and I love it. Here is the Rolf’s note and nutso images.

This is classic Michigan!

At the end of September and first week of October my wife Misty (owner and teacher of LUNA MOON SUP YOGA) and I hosted our second annual Witch Paddle on
Sylvan Lake here in Oakland county, Michigan.
With the end of summer and start of fall here in Michigan, my wife closes her season on the water with this event! This also benefits one of our favorite charity’s Magic Wheelchair! Money raised goes to help fund awesome Halloween decorations for kids with disabilities.

We rocked the Sons of Varnish costume at the wheel of our 1956 Chris Craft ‘17 Sportsman as the support boat for our witch paddlers!

Sylvan Lake has a history of wood boats with a historical connection to the Oakland County Boat Club. Hydroplane races were once hosted on this lake.
We are lucky to be residents and preservationists of this cool boating hobby on this Metro Detroit destination.
Happy Halloween from Jeremy and Misty Marcum Rolfs, Sons of Varnish: Sylvan Lake, MI!

Glad to see the folks on Sylvan Lake are still having fun. We were members of the OCBC back in the 90’s and I was part of organizing a couple of boat shows at the club. They were a lot of fun! Thanks for sharing.

Sylvan Lake is only about half hour from my son’s house – maybe I can check it out sometime.
Saw this on a recent ride in my Aristocraft. Happy Halloween, everyone!

For a second there, I thought there was a Detroit chapter of our CC Rendezvous Obsessive Compulsive Boat Club group… Happy Halloween everyone! 🙂
