Woody Babe Of The Month
Is it just me? Thanks to Joel Lemanski and Classic Boat Hardware, we are blessed with the only form of T & A left in the classic boat community. Babes and boats were a mainstay of classic boat advertising. Yet these days we only focus on the varnish. Maybe it’s our age? For the record, I aint dead yet, bring on the babes! So starting this month, Woody Boater will be on the hunt for Woody Babes of the month. I figured let’s start with the one we all know so well. For some reason it wouldn’t be the same if it was a photo. It’s all about the dream I suppose.
Check out the art work at http://www.fiberglassics.com. Plenty of ladies.

Ohhhhh! I have… That’s next. I love that site. I feel like it’s Woody Brother.
Many of these old shots and prints (and newer stuff) feature models wearing high heels while perched on the decks of the boats – a glaring incongruity. Makes me cringe when I see it, but I guess that’s the boat lover in me, rather than the man.
Oh dear, you are a lost cause.. HA… For the record. It would be worth the varnish!.. Oddly enough. I have done some of these sorts of shoots for beer companies and cars. And its very strange to be on the shoot. Duck tape and an airbrush can work wonders…The finished art is always better. And an illustration even better. After all its only a painting of high heel shoes on a painting of a deck.
