Woody Boater Header, Ad, and Poster Image Wins Major Photography Recognition.

CA magazine 55th Photography Annual – I love the page layout.Note the lady on the left looking at our gal, and the guy below looking up! Genus layout.
In the field of marketing, Communication Arts magazine (CA Magazine) is considered the gold standard of publications. To be featured in the magazine is a carrier goal for many. And once a year the magazine picks the best of the best in the communications business.
That is the holy grail of awards.. And this year.. Little ole Woody Boater made it! Thats right. Fellow Woody Boater super Photographer Shaun Fenn pulled it off with the sunset gal shot. As seen in todays header.
One of the reader favorites. This image will also be this months double page ad in the brass bell. A huge congratulations to Bruce Bildsten for writing the amazing headline. If you want to see more of Shauns work, just click here.
Congrats to all involved!
Congratulations to all of you!
You have created a Wonderful campaign and it’s nice to see that the rest of world has taken notice.
From all of us who can’t seem to keep our own thumbs out of the shot, congratulations to everyone involved in this outstanding accomplishment. Shaun, your eye for style and beauty should be insured by Hagerty!
Without revealing unnecessary personal details about the girl, can you give more information about the shot?
CONGRATs ,always a pleasure for daily check in. Near a bunch of lakes this week in Maine.
I always thought these ad competetions were for commercial media. Congratulations on finding a competitive niche for hobby publications !
I don’t want to see any more of Shaun’s work. I just want to keep staring at this one. Each time it pops up in the header I get a little stutter in my breastbone…………………..
I love the layout in the magazine, quick caption the picture of the lady in the green. Nice job, well done.
Cliff, I’ll take up the challenge…
“Stop it. Cut it out. I have a glandular problem.”
That’ll be 60 dollars.
Love it
Cliff, I just read the slogan for the cranky lady ad. The ad was for Old Spice:
“Spray goodbye to boyhood. Smellcome to manhood.”
That makes the proximity to the Sean + WoodyBoater + Rabbit ad even funnier.
Clearly though, there is a “woodies for boobies” factor that the judges considered. Nice going.

Congrats guys! CA is a big deal.
Reflects the overall quality of Woody Boater
Nice work, Congratulations to all. Matt and crew are always thinking of ways to promote our hobby. Still can’t find the boat in the header.
Publication in “CA” or “PRINT” Magazine is a BIG DEAL to those in the design and visual art world.
Congrats to all those involved!
Refreshing to see a beautiful body without tattoos
Thank you.
i think the girl across the spine on the top picture is a little jealous of our woody boater girl. shes giving our girl a stern look. must be glass boater!
Well done and Congratulations Matt. Always said the campaign was award worthy. Open the bubbles!
Happy to contribute to the Woody Boater cause.
(And just wait to see what we put together here in Minnesota for the ACBS International in 2015. It’s going to be cool. And the destination is amazing.)
I am glad for you guys, but excited for me because I just bought our next Lyman, another 18 foot outboard,8th from the last one made.
Wood boat madness. Whaaaaa Hoooo dont tell my boatress!
Matt, Very Nice! keep it up as this type of woody boat exposure can help the hobby . Any one can buy a fiberglass boat with a different color stripe and interior. But only a few select gentlemen or gentlewoman can own an exclusive and rare original wood boat
Steve, that’s what they told me. But I bought one anyway. What’s it Groucho Marx said? “Please accept my resignation. I don’t want to belong to any club that would accept me as a member.”
Can’t we all just agree to make this the “Official Header of Woody Boater,” and then we can all see it everyday and be done with it.
Probably crash your server though, just like Woody Connection so might be a problem.
Congrats on the award.
A big congratulations to Matt, Shawn, Rabbit et al!!!
Shawn’s portforlio shows a great composition eye. Assume that Continental is in Montana but it sure reminds me of Sebago Lake Maine
