Woody Kiddie Boat Ride On Ebay!

The Kiddie Boat
Today we discus this 1950 Kiddie Boat Ride on ebay. I have seen these sorts of things around, but honestly am always surprised about the price. Not that I understand the price thing on these. I imagine there is a culture of things like this, like there is about boats and cars. And this would be cool inside your man cave showroom thing. It looks like its been restored and I suppose that was not cheap. I mean, in a way, 16K for something cool, in a world of $1million cars, seems reasonable ish.

Very cool!

Clean and perfect
So here is the question. For $16K you could buy a nice, boat that floats, runs and is usable. Which this is usable as noted below in the photo….ish….So it’s art that you are buying here. No different than buying a sculpture, or painting.

She looks a little old to be riding this.
I have to give them credit just for their name. MANTIQUES NETWORK now that is marketing.
It does have a real Chris-Craft emblem.
Wait, they want me to spend $16,995 just to get the thing and then it will cost me 10 cents to ride it? No way! Unless the rides are free with purchase I am not interested.
I used to have one sitting next to the Harley-Davidson in my office. Bernies restorations, A local shop here in McHenry, IL that makes similar products bought and restored it. Check out the details.
I can see the allure and would consider it only after ALL my slips were filled with real boats. Of course I’d rather bring this to a show the a pontoon.
How about if you put that on the pontoon? Girl and all.
Probably extra $$$ because it’s the ultra rare reverse seat model.
Tiny boats are cool. I got this one for $350 about 15 years ago and later sold it for $600. It’s ABS plastic, but was still a hoot. Only 6 1/2 feet long. It was a Buffalo Mini Boat, made by a company in Buffalo, NY by the same name, in late 1990, as a 1991 model, and was of the last ones made.
The friend I sold it to still has it and uses it on a good-sized pond in his backyard. The kids love it.
I have the same one in my showroom in Lake Bomoseen. So i guess its worth $16K now right?! Isn’t that how this woody boater things works……?!?!
You need a pin up in it for the full 16K
