This years big Lake Tahoe Concours d’Elegance has gone virtual. And if you want to enter now, hurry, you have a day. They extended the registration and of course it’s already an amazing show, with amazing world class..ic boats. What an amazing place!

Terry Fiest Said “We did something very special this year at Tahoe to commemorate all the show cancellations—-we came up with a virtual show!!—- It’s all Virtual and we will have a peoples choice award at the end of the event. The cost is $50.00 to enter your boat and all the funds are tax deductible and go to the Tahoe Yacht Club foundation and eventually to a charity.”

So we here are in. And we are gonna need some peoples choice help for sure. Why you ask? Cause I entered Sweet Pea. Thats right. Hey, when do you get a chance to enter a trawler on Lake Tahoe? She is original, has her original..ish bottom. Heck even the family DNA is still there. So lets see if we win Best Trawler. Ya, we are hoping they invent a new category for Lake Tahoe.

You dont need to have a local person do it. Its all web based and can be done anyplace. Ask around. You may even be able to use a template used in another virtual show.

I always looked at WoodyBoater as the virtual boat show that let us attend all the shows over the years without attending. I especially liked the coverage of some of the smaller unusual shows I wouldn’t have ever heard of otherwise. Maybe you can provide a virtual boat show service to smaller or less technical clubs and encourage them to put together a few fall shows before last gasp inevitably arrives.

Is Rocky Mountain Classics the only chapter in ACBS that had and in person, in the water show this year? Grand Lake said come on up and have the show and we did! We had a great time and everyone really enjoyed themselves as well as the public.
I believe the People’s Choice winner has to show up at the actual show next year. Do you have a hauler lined up for Seet Pea yet?
Maybe a navigation around to CA for a shorter haul to the lake? Better start out soon.
I would have entered Panther but then I would feel bad for the others who didn’t win. Then again maybe I just don’t want to get my own feelings hurt that she is not as perfect as she is in my eyes.
She’s in her underwear but is trying to figure out how to vote for Sweet Pea on her Ipad. Maybe someone can help her.

I just went to the Tahoe site and viewed all your pictures and data on the Fritz Tarz. Very interesting history. So I guess no need to bug Matt with the info now that I figured out how to access all your pictures, data on Tahoe show page.
