10 Days Til Mt. Dora. And 3 Weeks Of Work Left.


What a week. Sylvia is looking great, new stripes, we did them in a satin finish. The contrast of dull and gloss is very cool and looks more true to the orig caulking look. The Varnish looks amazing, new chrome is on. The darn wiring though is still scaring the crap out of me. But I suppose its a one step at a time thing. The interior is still in California. And we are waiting on some small parts. Little details like, How does that deck light go together, and the flag light confound me, and I curse myself for not taking photos of that. I have at least 300 photos. And I swear, it’s 200 shy of what you really need.
The truck is done. Bubba will be used for small boat shows with Lil Suzy, picking up parts and taking trash to the dump. Something Bubba has done faithfully for 15 years.The roof trusses are up at the headquarters. But the next week is all about Lake Dora. So we are plowing forward. 10 hr days. Funny thing about deadlines. Without them nothing happens. Here are some photos of this weekends work.

    Yes we did, and it’s amazing. Not sure if it was the smart thing to do, but we still need a couple of coats in the fall so it was worth the shot.

    Things look like they’re going very well in Woody Boater Land. That’s a fine looking pickup and the building looks much larger than I thought it was from the first photo (showing wall framing). Looks like high walls (10′?) plus scissors joists for even more interior clearance. Sylvia is looking fantastic.

    Thanks Al. It’s all coming together. The building is 30 wide 50 feet deep. 11 foot walls. With a 12×25 side thing.It feels like a church inside. HA. Maybe thats because I need to pray for more money to get it done.
