7 Days, 100 Years, AHHHHHHlgonac
While we wait on reports from Lake Hopatcong and St Micheals, we thought we would show you all the location for the Algonac 100 Year Celebration. Its on the location of the old plant, and you can kinda make out whats still there and whats not.
One thing I would love to capture is some before and now shots from around the area. Some of it is timeless, and others, progress. I cannot image all those wood buildings rotting away. Ugh, a huge shout out to Pete for doing the right thing.
Headed to the Harbour Club this morning for a meeting with the Michigan gang. We are making sure all the t’s are crossed and I’s are dotted for the big party next weekend. I am wearing
my Son’s of Algonac T-shirts. Eat your hearts out!
See everybody in Algonac.
Hey Greg.
How can I snag 2 shirts, XL. I’ll be there Friday for the first cruise.😎
Bob, they will be selling them in our Ships Store at the show on Saturday.
👍👍
Two things……..#One the header boat is Black Beauty, IT IS PURE ART! one of my favorite boats, #Two I get to sit on my deck and look at that tower every day, which is awesome and also ART.
The Armstrong (yes, that ART) family spent every summer, since 1938 across the North Channel of the St. Clair River from the Chris-Craft plant. Which means that I’ve looked at the tower since I was one year old. I’ll admit that I don’t remember it that long ago, but it eventually became part of our summers.
I am happy to say that I am coming to the big show in Algonac, along with my son Jeff.
I’m trying to get an idea of the events of the show. Will the boats be in the water on Friday and will there be as many as on Saturday or Sunday. I can only go for one day so I want to pick the best one
Saturday would be the best day to see everything.
Most of the boats will be on a cruise to a picnic at a private Island on Harsen’s Island Friday and the show ends Saturday afternoon.
The 8 days out forecast is for 86/66F for Fri. and Sat., partly cloudy (partly sunny). Lookin’ good at this point!
Hope you printed a bunch of 2xl shirts. The boys here in Michigan run a little thicker! HAHAHAH.
