A Night Of Debauchery In Brooklyn At Peter Luger’s
And now for something completely different. As many of you also are, I have a weak spot for time tested classic restaurants. Diners, old burger places, deli’s etc. But what is truly an American experience is a great steak place. And nothing compares to the archetype of all steak places, Peter Luger’s. In NY. Been there since 1887. And last night I got to bathe in some insane amazing steak last night. OH GOD! We aint in Mt Dora anymore with Dorothy with some chicken on a stick, thats for sure.
Anyway, enjoy the left overs. I will be in NYC for a couple days.. working. Like a real living. Gotta pay for putting us all in the Old Boats Home! Keep em coming, we have room for more. And participating is part of the fun!
Looks like a good place for a WoodyBoater rendezvous. Don’t work too hard!
Love it! Could not afford it, but love to think about it! Enjoy!
Hi, Matt, I always enjoyed my business trips to NY. The great restaurant availability is amazing. Note, the link to the Old Boat Home is not working from the WB sight. FYI.
I just tried the link and it did work for me.
Don’t forget the bone for Mr. B.
Next time try Keens @ 36th and 6th. Great food and history since 1885.
That’s where I like to go as well! The old smoking pipes on the ceiling and in the case at the door are fantastic!
Some stores carry their sauce. It’s good
In NYC if it’s still there, ESS a bagel (sp?) on the corner of 21st and 1st Ave. South west corner. Best bagels around at least they use to be
Would it be inappropriate to pickup that t-bone and gnaw on it for a couple of minutes? Best part of the meal.
The closer the bone. The sweeter the meat Wait that was for other meat also.
Matt, I’ve seen you with whipped cream before. I can only hope that in the presence of others, you put the whipped cream on the desserts and didn’t spread it all over your body.
Mr. Smith: I don’t believe we have ever crossed-paths in Manhattan…………….
Please stop into McSorley’s Old Ale House. Oldest pub in NYC. Just not after a Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem concert down the street in the late 70’s. They’ll kick you out if you don’t order blonde or brown two at a time fast enough, spent peanut shells are a slippery deck on the way to the door.
Matt! For the love of all that is delicious get to THE other KATZ’s for a boat load of pastrami on rye and pickles!
Those plates with the ships are from the Detroit Yacht Club…I have one of the platters…
