Chad, Matt B sent us in these fun photos from Torch lake while at the 2014 Cruising For The Cure event. This is a fun get together on one of the worlds most amazing Lakes. Combined with some of the worlds most amazing boats, and magic happens. Thanks to them for sharing.

Torch 2014 -10

Time to fuel up at the “Clam Shack” on one of our favorite boats of all time. A nice 1961 21″ Continental Gull Wing hardtop. This stunning boat was just refinished by the gang at Wooden Runabout Co. The name of Gull Wng and lettering is PERFECT!

That is definitely a bucket list trip to make.

Staying closer to home, we went out for a morning ride before heading to the Hammondsport show. Tobler says enough of this glass boating, let’s go find some vintage wood to chew on!

Seeing pictures of the 21′ Conti is making me finally want to get mine done, after 4 years. I think it is time……

Found a nice Garwood utility. I asked the guy maintaining it if he could help me re-power my Shepherds and he just started mumbling and then swearing about some crazy guy named Phil.

Fresh pack of bacon from Shirk’s, the Menonite butcher up the hill, one ice cold six pack of Bell’s Oberon from Kalamazoo Michigan, plus a hot griddle = breakfast of champions, Keuka style.

Michigan water is to die for – so beautiful. It makes the woodies even more fabulous.

Michigan beer is to die for too. The sky is a touch grey this evening so I opened up a bottle of Michigan sunshine. Life is good.

I really do need to get to the Torch Lake show someday but it will have to be an extended vacation to Michigan if I trailer a boat that far.

I have travelled or towed a boat over 1250 miles to a show years ago. Now that I have the time and am making more money I can’t afford the fuel – to tow or ride to some extent. go figure. maybe I need to switch to diesel, convert it to vegetable oil and just eat more fries to fuel the boat and tow vehicle

Michigan has a lot of nice water and nice boats, the best beer on earth. If they could only make a decent Buffalo wings…

    Greetings,

I am hoping you might be able to help me this boat (attached) I would like to know the brand, the model and the year(s).
I have no more information than this picture, a client of mine ask if I could identify it and we would go from there.
    Thanking you in advance.
