Do You Know Anyone At Smith Mountain Lake? Heck Ya!
Last week, one of my co workers told me she was headed to Smith Mountain Lake for her anniversary. She then asked if I knew anyone at the lake that might give her and her husband a fun woody boater ride. I think we can help…. In one email, we had it all set up thanks to fellow Woody Boater George Blosser. Wow.. This is what its all about here at Woody Boater. Sharing the magic of varnished mahogany. Thanks to George Blosser and his wife Joan, and George and Marlyn Curnow.
They gave fun rides and a great sunset cruise of the lake, making there anniversary one to remember. “Wow, those boats are very cool, ride smoothly”
George’s 1956 23’ Christ Craft Continental was used in one of our award winning ads.
Thanks to George, George Joan and Marlyn for helping out and spreading the gospel of woodyness!
I LOVE this kind of story!
I know it does not have the facts and information so many of us long for, but it’s all about sharing the love and passion we have.
It has become a personal challenge of mine to try to get a (woody prefered) boat ride almost anywhere I travel.
I find the people who share this interest/addiction are some of the most generous open people I have ever met.
This is a great service offered by woodyboater!
Looks like today is off to a better start for Woody Boater than yesterday. Nice story here.
If you had peace and harmony every day it would be boring.
Trisha & Harold, you are now infected with the incurable affliction of Woody Boating. May as well admit it, go shopping for one and take Banks along too.
Thanks for a great way to start a Hump Day (with coffee).
I love the woody boater ads, it would be nice to have a poster size copy for framing and display at the shop.
Steve, I agree, but I am also still waiting for the 4×6 Sons of Varnish flag to fly over the dock.
Hey! How about a WoodyBoater burgee?!?!? Make it Navy Blue, with the W-flag logo, just like the classic baseball hat currently available. Sign me up for one!!!
