Florida Memories From 2013, Let’s Make Some New Ones In 3 Weeks!
Today you can warm yourself by the computer with images from past Florida Lake Dora Shows. mmmmm bask in the warmth. I can already feel my stress level dropping….. And if you have not signed up, here is the link to the registration, and they have waived the late fees if that helps. Just think, in about 20 days or so you can actually justify sun screen and shorts! SHORTS!

Woody gal wondering why you would even think of staying home? Why? Why? mmm One weekend in the tundra, or one weekend in the beautiful Florida Sun. mmmmmm, makes one ponder.. NOT!

We will be there shooting photos for the poor soles left in the tundra.. Really? You want to just watch us have fun?
We would love to see you there? We have a nice tent, and chairs, friends, and belly laughs. Come on by and say hi! If we are not out on the water. When you sign up for the show, make sure to sign up for the Friday picnic. We also have special t-shirts only in Florida, and a new special product debuting in Florida. Stay tuned for that tomorrow.
You really know how to hurt those of us who can not make it down there. Maybe next year!
You forgot the best selling point. Chicken on a stick!
You bet!
Taste just like gator…
Really looking forward to it!
Be easy on me Matt this is my FIRST time.
That needs an image.
We are so busy, and Florida is so far from Idaho, but the bait looks good. Can we show up with no Boat? Still frozen in up here in McCall. I wont tell the crew!!
That better be a BIG YES since I am not bringing a boat.
So far the response from everyone has been amazing to get Sandi and I on some rides.
I am not bringing a boat either. Southwest’s “bags fly free” policy has its limits and it appears a boat is definitely not included as a free bag.
Last year we had a little snow while prepping LUCKY 7 for the trip. This year it would take heavy equipment just to get it out of the barn. And it’s snowing again today!
Hey Jim, that what my Lyman looked like coming BACK from Mt Dora last year! Boats are made to get wet, and snow is just another form of water…
We are starting our count down clock up here in Michigan. I also started a check off list of what to take with us, dam, I hate getting old…
See you all down there!!!
This is the way back. We got stuck on flat ground somewhere in Indiana.
Be there or be square….
John in Va.
Ronnie and I will need a ride to the Friday Picnic. We are bringing our land display FiberClassic this year, cause we can not get “LYMAN TYME” unburied and out of the garage!
We will be on display near the WoodyBoater Booth.
Got the new traveling cover made up yesterday, we are ready to roll…
Hi Dennis – picture didn’t make it. Why is it a land display?
We will not have the motor running in time. The 1959 Mercury Mark 35A has been sitting up in an attic for the past 25 years. All the rubber components need to be replaced, and carb rebuilt, etc.
Just not enough time till we leave on the 20th.
…and the count down continues
To Donald Hardy…We made it from Florida to Idaho this Fall…and besides it is all downhill from Idaho to Florida….Come on down !
Thanks Wilson, everybody tells me I work to hard and need to travel more. This is a good way to start, besides one of my customers has 13 boats down there, I am sure I can get one to use and go out to sea in.. ??? We will see.
Thanks for the invite!
This year is out but I’m thinking about next year. For the River Cruises is there a minimum speed the boats need to make? Panther’s pace is more of a mosey than a get up and go. B engines will do that don’t-cha-know.
Can you get on plane? I would think that would be enough to make the distance in four days. Perhaps borrow some JATO units from the Air Force if you need a little extra push.
My problem would be the no wake zones. If Squirt isn’t on plane she’s just making noise and burning gas. I am pretty sure I couldn’t make a trip like that without filling the boat with extra fuel tanks.
There is no minimum speed. You just depart earlier than the rest. I have done the cruise with a Buchannan Midget 25hp motor. The best thing about going slow is you see a lot more wildlife. I learned from a wise Canadian crew on the same trip it is not how fast you go it is how many drinks did it take to get there. Here is a picture from a couple of years ago.
See if this works.
New product? What new product? Are you finally doing the big Woody Boater flag for MFine? Or is it the orange Woody Boater crocs?
YES!!!! Flags are desperately needed for the -fine docks. Luckily I still have about 16 months until summer arrives.
Let’s see, “How many drinks did it take to get there?”…Could that be the crew in the Mullins ?
Tom, Is the the picture of the Centennial Run With Ken MacStephen and crew? I was on that cruise and it was fun seeing you guys work so hard to enjoy that run! LOL!
LOVE the pic of Karen in “Miss Lisa”! You are stunning, my friend! Looking forward to seeing all of you in 3 weeks! Look for Hagerty on the Rodeo Drive of Sunnyland show, situated between Katz’s Marina and our dear friends at Woody Boater…Art Hampton and his precious pup also in our hood’…can’t wait!!
Tater! What’s up, Dog?!?!? Haven’t seen you since the Lake Cumberland Rendezvous! Gotta say the picture looks better with Carla than with Art, and I’m sure Art would agree. Sorry we will not make it to Tavares, but we will see you at Lake Chatuge!
