Gauge Replacement And More From Jimmy’s Barn?
Yesterday in the comment section several readers mentioned a certain lust for Jimmys Barn. Well, as it turns out, I was there working on replacing a gauge.
The Oil Pressure gauge sometime during the summer got stuck and the good Folks at Kocian sent us another one so we could switch it.
Why? because I was terrified that I would forget the wiring on the back. Yikes that gauge has a bunch of wires going to it.
But you don’t care about that, you want a couple more shots of Jimmy’s Barn. And yes, its everything you dream of. Heated, a two bedroom apartment attached to it, and lots and lots of classic boat goodness.
Very nice 👍
can you add me to the waiting list???
what kind of heat and humidity systems are used here? i always thought we should be in cold storage with gravel.
mike
We move the boats to gravel and non heated barns and covered areas after working on them.
Chandelier in a toy box? Take your shoes off and wash your hands, before entering!
I think Bob “Have I got a calendar for you” Kays could do one on just Jimmy’s Barn!
Waning Shameless Plug Coming!
BTW, Bob is one of the newest members of the Chris Craft Antique Boat Club Board of Directors along with Allen Mackin.
Wait a minute…
That’s Jimmy all contorted up in your boat, right?
So let’s see…his barn, his tools and he does the work for you…
Tom Sawyers got nothing on you, Matt!
Beautiful!
I guess I missed a paragraph. Who is Jimmy and where is his “barn” ?
Jimmy is “Jimmy” like “Bono”, Texx, Or Drake, Elvis, you get the idea. And his Barn is in Woodyboaterville.
I’d be afraid one of those suspended water skis would fall and spear my deck but the vintage collectibles add a homeyness and old school vibe for sure. Barn envy. Which brings me to a little story traveling back home to Maine w/family in my van packed with 2 of my 9 bikes. One, my hi mod carbon fiber road bike wrapped in a packing blanket on top of all the luggage. I;ve never found a bike rack to suit me. At one fuel stop I’m checking out this car with the best bike carrier I’ve seen but the driver is the hottest driver I’ve ever seen with a very revealing outfit, if you know what I mean and I;m doing my best not to stare. And my 15 year old son wanders over and says “rack envy??” LOL

You could have at least included a picture with that comment.
Was this your van that I saw the other day?
AHHHH!

I sold the Chevy, got a Ford, lol
What’s the deal on the shifter?
I thought all post war Sportsmen had Pistol Grip shifters?
my guess regarding the shifter is so somone could sit in the center seat. I have become a fan of it.
Matt, the pretty girl with the short shorts sits in the center seat and I put the boat in reverse a lot. Oops, I guess I went back to the article on the 9th. WOOHOO.
oh oh, i saw those staples! didn’t chris craft use tacks??
That is one beautiful space. Seriously nice.
good place to paint that trailer.
I really like those new fangled wires that bunch up. Never seen anything like it here?
