I Refuse To Let It Be Cold Today, We Are Going Woody Boating!
Thanks to the magic of the web, today, Monday February 4th 2013, it’s 72 and sunny, everyplace you are when you log onto Woody Boater. It’s like magic. Oh sure it can be -2 outside, but while you are on Woody Boater is warm, toasty and we are going woody boat’n. I am putting on my old sun tan oil and sniffing the SPF 0 cause I don’t care about skin cancer today.
Go Woody Boating in on Lake Cyberspace, then stop for a nice lunch at the local diner on the water, fill up the tank and spend the next couple hours burning up that fuel.
Tonight I am going to have a grilled burger on the grill, and some nice strawberry shortcake for desert. Made from Bisquick… with fresh picked strawberry’s, and all the fruit juice drizzled on the cake……with REAL whipped cream, not the kind in the can. Later I am going to sit on the back porch and look out over the water, watch the may flies dance on the calm glistening water, smack a mosquito or two, and go to bed in a sticky sweat. That’s what I am going to do. What are you doing today on your lucky 72 degree day? We want pictures, post your picture that captures your summer.
And remember to keep the pics smaller than 1 mg or 500 px -ish or it wont load.

On Raccoon Island, today is a summer day.Just had breakfast on the porch, overlooking Lake Hopatcong. The boat is uncovered and ready for our morning ride.
On this perfect 22.2*C (72F) day I’m following the lead of our “Dock Dawg”….and watch the clouds make Woodyboater shapes as they float by all day.
We had a beautiful 70 degree weekend here in Texas. I’m trying to swim every month of the year, so I jumped in yesterday but oh my god it was cold. I swam around the boat once and had to get out.
It’s feeling warmer already. keep’m coming!
Breakfast over, finally out on the lake. The sun is warm with a bit of a summer breeze.
Started off with some engine problems today but was able to fly in an expert who explained the finer points of turning the ignition key on all the way.
Here is the picture?
HMMMM, pics won’t post for me today. I’ll tell the rest of the story another day. Internet tubes must be frozen.
Did you check the kill switch under the dash. Forgeting about that one will cost you some headaches. Right Alex
Very early in my ownership of Panther I pulled along my wife’s cousins in their 125′ Delta and took them out for a ride. Afterward we had cocktails on their bridgedeck overlooking Port Jefferson Harbor. When it was time to leave I turned the key and ……..nothing. Opened the engine hatch to see nothing disconnected, lights worked but still nothing. John then mentions that on his LeMans race cars there is also a starter button like the one I have on the dash. DOH! I never forgot about that button again.
My favorite stretch of water from the old Aeronca.
Dang. I had nearly banished that embarrassing situation from my memory.
Gonna be a scorcher in Hessel. Gotta keep the kids out of the midday sun.
I’m in Monaco today at the Monaco Boat Works. Just parked my red Ferrari, slathered on some sunscreen, and deciding which of my Aquaramas to pull out of the rafters for today’s trip to Cannes.
Oh Rabbit,
Do be luv and stop by and pick me up, the Aston is on the fritz.
Ice left so early this year. Water’s already 73 degrees. Amazing. Took the kids for a morning swim off the boat. Liberty Beach, Hessel.

Breakfast latter, ski first! While the water is so calm I can hear the spray from my ski land behind me. That is once the Mustang’s glorious rumble is 60′ ahead of me. Wish Dad still had this boat.

No better way to cooooooool off than put a new set of plugs in the engine, round-up m’fav lady friend and create your own ‘wind-in-the-face’ experience!
The only thing that could probably top this would be a winding country road and a Harley, but alas, I don’t have a Harley.

Do you think we could arrange to do a Live-ish interview with George at Lake Como?
After all, we are talkin’ about Woody Boater here… not just some movie star magazine.
I have tried numerous times at dinner to drop a hint but that annoying guy Ben Afflack? and some lanky blonde Stacey? keep butting in…
Yes – But did you mention that you were Woody Diva from Woody Boater.com? That’s the ticket…
I need to fly to Lake Como and stay on Lake Como at the Villa D’Este and try to get George away from that old nag!
Will the Woody Boater per diem cover this?
Set up and interview may take weeks…but I assure you it will be well worth it.
