Wondering when we are going to stop doing whats in your drawers and toilet seats on ebay stories? So are we. Dang this has been one strange spring that seemed to be starting early. The good news is that the good folks on Lake Hartwell, know how to break that spell. Just go Woody Boating. So this weekend, if you are in the area of Georgia and want to escape winter and its bitter sister spring. Go Boating!

Miss America IX has been known to buzz the neighborhood. HONEY! There is a boat outside, no wait its gone. Honey? Can you hear me? Honey?
Your taxes will wait, they’re not due until the 18th this year, so you still have time. Just drop your taxes at the post office on the way home, boat in tow, and one huge smile on your sunburned face Anyhoo. They are gonna be having fun on Lake Hartwell this weekend. Are you? You can find out more by clicking HERE.

Its a fantastic lake with fantastic folks, who know how to have fun.
Looks like another 4-6 weeks for us. If things go smoothly. Unfortunately, running away to the south isn’t going to be in the cards this spring.
Lake Hartwell!
Heck Floyd R Turbo could just run over to that one, than he would win his division and get more points for this years championship.
GO FLOYD!

Thanks for the shoutout Troy. I’m working in NC remodeling a boathouse . Trying to get some training in when I’m not pounding nails. Rather be varnishing or running or biking. .
“PURPLE HAZE” headed back to “Where It All Began” so to speak this weekend. Georgia bound!!!!!!!!!!!!!:):)
Ok MFine and Chad that is your Que To comment:):):)
She won’t be left at the back of the pack this time:):):)
Itup right !. It’s a great show…they do it up right…Don’t miss it if you are anywhere near by…
Regrettably it is the same weekend as the Apalachicola, Fl antique and classic boat and car show and I’ve already signed up to go there.
Stop by our place in Carrabelle on Hwy. 98 ( 15 miles east of Apalach) on the way to or from the show.
No recreational boating in Muskoka today! While spring does her best to get here, cold weather, rain and more snow have lead to flooding. With this flooding the ice breakup has damaged boathouses (and boats) across the area. The only boats on the lake are work barges trying to keep the worst at bay.
This show is basically in my back yard and I just missed it last year, boat was not quite done and want make it this year, had to pull the engine. It’s at VanNess as we speak. 🙁
Lots of devastation…
When it looks like this in Muskoka I go sled boating
And some get rescued :).
Unfortunately others are not so lucky. I have heard that Woody boat ERA (Port Sandfield) has been quite unlucky (trapped underneath a crumbling boathouse).
Well, Spring is finally here in West Michigan this weekend, with four days of sunshine and in the upper 60’s, may hit low 70’s a little inland. I got the Coronado all hitched and ready to roll to the ramp on Thursday. I will keep her in the water all weekend, and pull her out Sunday. This is Michigan you know, and we could get snow next week, like we did last week!!!
Only in Michigan can one weekend have a hi of 32 degrees with snow, and the next weekend 70 degree boatin’ weather!!!
Busy week ahead, I need to bring home the Lake N Sea, the 85 Camaro and the 71 Thunderbird from storage and do some land crusin’ when not on the Century. And I will be removing the hardtop off the SL 500 Benz tonite, so I can go top less this sometime this weekend too. Can you get the feeling I have a little winter cabin fever I need to get rid of ?
We be Boatin’…
Forget one weekend to the next! A few years ago (OK maybe a touch more than a few) I went to a 1 hour class in Michigan. 75 and sunny, wearing shorts and a T-shirt going in, 30 and snowing wishing I had a coat coming out an hour later.
Looking forward to seeing everyone!!! We will be rolling into the Hartwell area Wednesday night. Weather forecast says SUNNY ALL WEEKEND!!!!
We will need passengers for the many excursions planned (and unplanned) for the weekend. Hop on in, let’s go!
I just left the Hartwell Marina. My humble 1957 Correct Craft is there [OK it IS a very nice one] but there are some really great examples of other boats as well.
It’s always a great show, free [except a couple of bucks to park] and great company and food.
