Reedville Gathering With All The Goodies

Perfect weather
Yesterdays Reedville show delivered all the fun the weather could deliver. Perfect weather, a wide variety of boats, and classic boat show moments. And of course again, never really had the chance to go to the actual show. What? Well, the show is at the Reedville Fishermans Museum. The railway is a spot where you can go to and see the railway. So I am here, hanging around. It’s fun, and well, the entire town is actually a boat show. All the historic homes have a boat or two at there docks, and it spreads out. The museum has water taxis as well, which is also fun. So I apologize ahead of time, since all my images are at HQ.

All the docs were filled

The early morning calm

The docs were also full next door

You never see Jimmy without a blond. Ryley is a great crew member and entertained us all day.

I also was able to spend a little time giving rides to folks

“some” of them had fun. Others….well….not so much I see.

Then back to HQ sitting around yapping it up

John Rothert and his chair moment

A good friend and always makes me laugh

Tommy Beatley was here and watched the crazyness

Perfect weather

Stinky to the rescue

I was able to get them from one doc to HQ to see what was up

When a smaller boat does the towing you need to be creative

I had to back them out into bigger water to maneuver

A classic moment

All part of the fun

Dead battery, fixed in short order

And just like that. Poof, Summer, and the show done.

Thanks Matt for another great show and hospitality. Was a perfect weather day and enjoyed seeing the Railway modifications in person. NEXT year I promise to bring one of my boats! I even got an extended boatride with John Rothert in his Whirlwind… “So THATS boating!” ****
Host with the most
HA, poor John, always great to see you. We need to make a pilgrimage to your crib
……best wishes from Dulles International airport.
Looks like a nice day. I would love to see more of that Lyman.
Looks like a fun day! Next year, steal away to see the rest of the show. Good looking boats.
Now that’s some great boat show reporting. Looks like a great time with a wonderful variety of boats. Thanks for sharin
We made it to Clayton. Our 8 hour road trip turned into 10 due to a hour traffic jam in Toronto and a blowout on the trailer. We launch Tiger Lily in the morning and head to the tire store with the trailer. Be back by 2:00 for the shakedown cruise.
OUCH!
I was interested to find your webpage.
In the 50’s my dad bought the boat Miss Washington from Lake Winnipesauke in NH
He brought it home to Lynn MA and we enjoyed that beautiful speedboat for several years.
Sad to say the boat he renamed “The Mermaid” broke its mooring during a hurricane and crashed on a rocky shore. The only part of the boat recovered was the steering wheel.
It was a sad end to this beautiful classic boat.
