Road Trip To Higginsville!

Best Logo ever
Today, I am headed South to the home of Higgins Boats. New Orleans! The more I look at Higgins boats the more I love them. I suppose its the graphics and hull design. But mostly its just that very cool logo. I have looked on the aapp to see if we have any fellow Woody Boaters there. Looks like two. But if anyone there has a barn full of crap! Would love to meet up! Wooohooo! Now if you will excuse me, I need to go to Waffle House and get breakfast.

I wish I had a driver about now

The Antique Boat Museum has an amazing time capsule

23-higgins convertable. half hard top, half soft top

A Rare 1956 Higgins Utility

OUCH That white thing on the top there, thats a Higgins.. was a Higgins?

Great Graphics

Should have bought this on ebay years ago
HERE IS THE LINK TO THE HIGGINS CLASSIC BOAT ASSOCIATION!

WOW
And here is a wonderful story Texx wrote on Higgins Boats on a Happy Higgins Day!
I see what you are doing!
Throw in a Higgins story while we all salivate over the “Tarp Find” Cobra.
I think I am going to call Mike Green.
I always through the Higgins foot pedal throttle was cool.
Got one of those in the ’57 CC Continental.
My ’48 Shepherd had a foot pedal
I’ll have a beignet while you’re there.
Don’t forget the WWII Museum in New Orleans while you are there…the aquarium is pretty good too.
AAWW Matt I was hoping we would see more of the Cobra. There is something familiar about that boat and I can’t put my nose on it????
I guess I will go have another beer.
There is a nice Higgins for sale 10 minutes from Tavares! Seems it is 80% restored. Blue.
80% done, only 95% left to go!
HIGGINS BOATS IN WWII WERE PT’S
Enloy the food!
Exactly! Eat first, THEN look at boats. Unless you are looking at the fishing boats to decide what to eat.
Yah Shep 22, my 48 Shepherd with the rumble/mother-in-law seat had a foot throttle.
I’m thinking that what made the Higgins foot throttle so cool was that the Higgins name with red accent is milled in the aluminum.
Randy and Judy Wagner use the heck out of their ’46 Higgie utility in Wisconsin!
I know where a nice Higgins that needs some work is here in ole VA.
John in Va.
I just saw on Facebook today that the last boat in the picture in the article is for sale.
I bought the boat that was seen on Ebay.
Almost done with it now.
Went to the Madisonville Boat Show post 9/11 and we had about 5 Higgins caravan from Atlanta (my friend owned two of them) and another 5 or 6 brought from Arkansas on a car hauler, plus a 25 foot cruiser from Canada (Bill and Cathy Foy)…it was GREAT! We caravanned the boats to The Steffenrud’s (Andre, AJ Higgins’ daughter) and had Dawn Higgins Murphy attend the show to “bless” the boats…truly a remarkable experience! If I could afford one, I’d get a Higgins, for now will stay with my CC Sea Skiff!
