It’s Sunday, And If You Are Reading This Before Dinner, Shame On You!
It’s the weekend, a special time to go out, and away from your computer, work and or anything related to a normal life. After such a long miserable winter weekends like this are golden treasures to be exploited and used up. This weekend we have been blessed with sunny no humidity weather and family.
Our son Hank, and his pals Suzy II, and Emily all showed up to go woody boating down in Reedville Virginia on the Great Wicomico River.
One of the joys is letting people drive and feel the fun of a classic boat. The ride, the sound and the power of a monster gas sucking Lincoln V8..
We hope you are having the same sort of fun weekened. Stay tuned this week for some fun stuff, including a very big sale from the Antique Boat Center! But thats durring the week.. For me, its still Sunday and I am outta here.
Shame on me, but I read this before breakfast. I cold smoked some salmon last night so it should be a good breakfast too.
Where’s the knife…
Mmmmmm
One plate of Altlantic farm raised, one plate of wild caught sockeye from Alaska. Add bagels and cream cheese and I will be ready to boat soon!
…
Took a sneak peak here before church…and then afterwards home to rig a 20 year old SunFish for acouple hours on the Gulf. It’s not wood but it’s old and it’s fun and it will be on the water.
Out showing houses all day, hopefully a ride tonight. Got to pay for the toys!
On our way out now. UNFORTUNATELY so many people want to go out today I need to use the Clorox Cruiser. Need to get a bigger woody. LOL.
This site IS my church, and of course being very religious I NEVER leave home without attending a morning service.
Your morning ‘sermon’ always inspires me to do the greater good!!!!!!!
Well, it wasn’t a “sermon”, just a statement of fact….The closer I get to the end, the more the urge to make up for lost time…An oh…The sailing was great…Surprising how much fun you can have in a little old boat…
And interesting…a lady was out in a 13′ inflatable catamaran. She says they are popular in So. America.. It didn ‘t seem to have much sail area but did have an unique looking dagger board under the tramp. She says it takes about 30 min to inflate it and is great for those without a trailer or a beach on which to leave it.
Well I did get an hour ride in the boat so im good!
I think I’ll take a sunset cruise this evening. Just need to muster up the energy to walk the 50 feet from the porch to the boat.
Just got back from another Dinner cruise in Gottago, this time with Daughter Sam.
Went to The Osprey. They have an Awesome $5 Nacho special on Sundays, but they were sold out.
Very nice 1/2 hour cruise home around the north tip of Westport Island.
Kids have fun anywhere!
But my girlfriend sleeps on every trip! Trying to figure out how to keep her engaged in the surroundings….
