The Heartland Classics Workshop, Just The Start Of A Huge Year For The Heartland Classics ACBS.

,

This fun live-ish report in from Kathy Parker President of Heartland Classics ACBS, this years host for the big 2012 International ACBS show at Table Rock.

“What better way to spend a Saturday in February, if you can’t actually be on the water, than spending the day with friends at a Winter Restoration Workshop? Heartland Classics Chapter of ACBS held their annual workshop in Langley, Oklahoma with 59 participants. Topics for the day included:
Sharing techniques and experiences using polyurethane and/or varnish, Dan Diehl, Clay Thompson, Darren Arnold

How to repack the prop shaft thru-hull, Larry Hinton

Knot tying, Dick Moist

Cold molding a hull, David Lott

Making a windshield, Dan Diehl
Things to look for in a boat survey,or in a Pizza!Tom Benton

mmmmm the part of how to eat pizza with out getting oil on the raw wood. I have yet to figure that one out.

We’re all just a little closer to being ready for spring boating. Thanks to Brent Howard for the use of his shop and Dan Diehl for organizing a great learning experience.”
