Did Texx make the trip on his motorcycle or has he given in to a more comfortable means of long distance travel?

Rick – The original plan was to ride the old H-D (always the preferred method of transportation) but due to cold, wet weather, I decided to drive. We are now in Gravenhurst and looking forward to seeing the area from the water.

That forecast seems a bit warm. I think the low 80’s Canadian is something like 180 American degrees.

Wilson, First time in 12 years to miss Gravenhurst Show due to passing of my wife’s father. We’ll be honoring Command Sargent Major Jack Collins, paratrooper with the 82nd and 101st Airborne, a Green Beret, and Vietnam veteran for his service. But I have to share a lighter note regarding Jack. I was quite anxious the first time my wife (then girlfriend) introduced me to her dad knowing how serious an Army CSM could be. As I drove up to their house in my “creeper van” (a white Chevy van with no windows and chrome wheels) I remembered the bumper sticker on the back that said, “Don’t laugh, you’re daugher could be in here” which she was. I jumped out as he approached my van and tried to meet him before he came around back and noticed the bumper sticker. Too late, as he greeted me and shook my hand. If he ever saw that bumper sticker, he never mentioned it the last 35 years I’ve known him. RIP Jack, thank you for your service.

      HA!

      That’s the Canadian spelling!

Not all Canadian boaters wear those silly Tilly hats either!

I signed up for the poker run and bought two tickets. Does this mean I need to bring two boats or does this mean two on my one boat can play or does this mean I’ve bought two lunches for after the poker run?.
Second question. I have been having a little trouble getting my wooden boat engine to function. I think Matt Fairbrass and Glen at the Napa store have saved the day by providing the missing parts. However I still have to get the parts into the engine and working. A long winded question but if my mahogany boat doesn’t run are you allowed to bring a plastic boat on the poker run in its place?

Tim, during the first WB Muskoka Run in 2013 one of the participants had a serious last minute engine malfunction in his Greavette Streamliner and ended up substituting his plastic boat.

Equally long story short the streamliner owner ultimately won the highly coveted mermaid boat bumper using his plastic boat to snag the best hand of the bunch.

So bottom line , if the layed back folks who organized the first run are still in charge of this year’s version I am confident that they would be more than happy to have you tag along in your plastic replacement.

Something must be wrong! My Greavette has been near Bala all week and I brought it home to Newmarket tonight! I’m going the wrong way!!!

I’m lookin’ at my boat in the driveway but, I’ll be back up to the lake tomorrow night though,… and on the dock at 9AM to go woody-poker-ing!

BTW: 2 tickets means two lunches… If yer woody won’t go the Tupperware is okay or, you can hitch a ride with another boat … it’s all good!
