The party is well attended.

This years annual Woodystock at Lake Dora event is going to be a huge event and you’re invited. The night before the show starts event is a wonderful place to gather and say hi to old friends, meet new ones and get to talk before the show starts. This year, Terry Fiest has taken on the job, and of course blown it out to an epic event at the Train station in Tavares. Right at the show. Topping last years insane Antique Boat Center Open House.

There will also be a very fun short train ride for about 20 minutes, the Mayor is showing up and all sorts of fun stuff. So if your plans are to show up on Friday, change it. Show up earlier and join the fun! Woohooo, only 21 Days until the party! YIKES, Thats just three weeks.

OK so if there is going to be a train ride is it fair to assume we are gathering at The Depot in Tavares?

    What time?

    We leave in 10 days!

Thanks Troy, we broke the news early and details are still soft. My guess is around 6 as usual maybe 5. It is back at the train station like before. We will update once all the official times and details come in. We just wanted folks to plan on coming to the show a night ealier. Not to mention you get a good jump on the best flea market in the country.

I’ll be there! Going training instead of “going boating”….for one night at least and with fine friends.
someone remind me: I registered, but won’t be displaying a boat, how do we get our “credentials”…..that neck tag thing?
Do we get it at the Sunnyland tent on Friday or do they mail it to us or what???

    John in VA,

When I did the same a couple years ago, I picked my stuff up at a registration tent. I am pretty sure I did it on Thursday before the show, but to be honest, I can’t reliably remember what I ate for breakfast this morning.

Matt…you have gotten a lot of mileage out of that photo. Do you have to pay Marty and Hamster a royalty every time you use it?

So…I happened upon the lovely Miss Lisa last September at Geneva Lake. While admiring this beauty I was struck by her impressive rudder. None of the other boats seemed to have such a long rudder. Is that a Gar Wood thing or does Matt have a unique fetish of some sort?
