Tour The Lake Dora Canal In 30 Seconds
As a public service we are bringing you the Lake Dora Canal in 30 seconds. Why? Well the Canal was closed due to an Oak Tree blocking it on Saturday. And some were disappointed. Since that is one of the major highlights of the visit, not to mention the way to get to other boating areas. But thanks to Mfine…AGAIN, he had set up a camera for such an event. With Karen Harrison at the helm of Nothing Fancy, we all can be sure there are no disasters. Sorry! Maybe next time. So here ya go. Its like you were there and after a couple years, your memory, or lack there of will swear you did the trip. Or swear.. at something else. WARNING, ITS FAST AND IF YOU ARE PRONE TO A STROKE, WELL, TAKE YOUR PILL.
Uh, nice boat ride but Karen should back off on the throttle a little. Things were going by a little too fast for us old guys to take in! Thanks anyway.
Greg, You really need to get yourself down there and experience it.
Thank you for the service for all us folks that did NOT go to Dora! Maybe, stretch the video out to a minute! My brain is not as fast as it once was!
The real video is over 30 minutes. And no one blows up, no Gator attacks, no breaking down. Mfine barfing in the canal. No topless babes driving by. So … I saved you all.
Thanks woodyboater
That trip included side canals and the passengers include Karen (driving), Shannon and Scott Knight, Becky and Mr. Becky, and myself. I don’t remember exactly what Paul was up to, but I am pretty sure it was no good!
I have another video of a straight trip through the canal on Whoops with Wayne (driving), Matt, and myself. I will eventually edit both of them and speed it up to a minute or two and post it on YouTube and then share links with the WoodyBoater family. I returned from Dora to immediately turn around to NJ for a work trip so I have not had time to edit yet.
Nice video, I , like others thought it could have been a little slower. My mind does not register that fast anymore. As for the topless babes I’ll bet that Troy has some pictures of them
Slow the Ship down! I had to miss that trip and how I love that canal ride and the old P-gardens and all….Riding through there with Troy and Sandi and M-fine…great times, great friends.
next year for sure…

Kinda a side note, are any of you folks going to be at Algonac in June? I might be able to make that show! Can a guy that does not own a Chris Craft attend?
Dan, you do not need a boat to attend ANY event in our world. While at these events, you have to lurk by the boats at the dock, hang out, chat up the folks, and you might get invited for a boat ride!
Dan, I really hope you can make our Algonac show. If you want to make a weekend of it, you can ride with Marianne and I on the Friday cruise and to the Old Club brunch on Sunday. You can become part of the Michigan gang!
Thanks Gregg! That does sound fun! Let me talk it over with my wife. I will get back on that!
Greg, FYI I am Planning to bring Mom’s Mink to Algonac show this year. It’s been awhile since I have been and since you guys are featuring GarWood boats.
I thought it would be fun. You need to let me know about the pre events. Hope to see you in June
