What’s It Feel Like To Tow One Of The Nations Top Classic Boats To Florida?
Yesterday we decided to leave early and head down to Lake Dora to meet up with fellow Woody Boaters also coming into town. Many are doing the same because of the bad weather predicted on the East coast. Funny thing happens when you are towing a Mahogany Masterpiece. Evoline a 17 ft Chris Craft barrel back from Katzs Marina is set to be shown at there tent.
I traded boats so they could fluff up Pumpkin some more. Which by the way is INSANE! Anyway back to the trip. Its amazing, you feel every single bump in the road. Every clickety click, every bump, every idiot cutting you off. So if you want your car to really feel the road, tow a classic barrel back! We are all set to arrive in Tavares at 3 pm. let’s get this party started.
Yup, nothing like towing a boat, especially someone elses boat, to make a long drive more nerve wracking. Happy trails!
Okay, you’re going boating. And at Lake Dora no less….
Many of us can only dream of enduring the pot holes and road hazards on the way to the premier event to start to the 2014 season.
Enjoy your time, tell us all about it but, no complaining! 🙂
It’s better than having to move something like this.
9 bumps and only 8 pee’s?…
Yea, that doesn’t even get my wife off Lone Island.
Darn auto correct. Long Island.
Nice truck!! No fuel stops.
I am not sure I wouldn’t rather tow that boat than fly into Orlando with all the Disney kids….I may try to downgrade to baggage hold.
John in Va.
Captain, I’ve run the incidence of bumping and peeing through the ship’s computers, yet can find no pattern. Highly illogical.
After that trip I would have a drink!
Your pumpkin needs a fluffer? That’s kind of disappointing.
Like Black Betty, Super Fly is “always ready.”
Matt are you going to Palatka tonight?
Liveish from Mt. Dora! Weather is GREAT!
Is there something Chad is not telling us?
Here’s what you get when you cross a frog and a monkey. We can call it a frunky. While you’re there, Troy, try not to get drunky.
See you there!
What about those morons that sit in the passing lane and stare at your boat while they run you up into a slow tractor trailer and you’re stuck behind it until a mile of backed up traffic in the passing lane gets by the slower, slowing, almost now stopped overloaded trailer now going up a steep grade. I give them a “tail wag” with the trailer while they’re staring and try to place the trailer fender up against their passenger side door handle. Wakes the passenger right up – instead of the thumbs up – you get another gesture. “Oh, what’s that?…a kickstand for your nose??”
