427877_635343123149386_542563989_nWhile we get the kids ready for school, and start looking forward to where we are going to spend our last gasp weekend, the good folks at Noosa Dreamboats are prepping for a wonderful season of weddings, and boatrides.

This may be the only place in the world where you can pull this off by the way. The trick to pulling this all off though is to start with the wedding thing, then the tropics, Australia thing.. The boat part should not be the lead! DANGER! The order in which you present this is critical!  You can even act surprised when you get there. WHAAAAAAT? Honey, what are the odds? We wish you luck! In the meantime you can enjoy some of the lucky ones who have enjoyed the fun.

As you talk about the last gasp I was finally able to get “Yorktown” in for a ride around Cobbossee.

Yes, we even did one of our, now famous, Woody Rendezvous at the old marina.

I’m not ready to hang the fenders and drain the gas quite yet. There’s still over a month left of great boating and the ACBS Toronto fall colours tour in Muskoka is first week of October!

Still, It’s nice to see others getting geared up for a boating season especially, on the Noosa river in THAT boat. It’s also nice to see how someone has spun their woodyboat passion into a woodyboat living.

Agree with Mfine. Or be really cool and leave your bride getting ready and you and your mates go out for the cruise. Scrap the picnic and just get on the cool beers out on the island.I think that could work.

Michael does a fantstic job of touring around Noosa on the Sunshine Coast Queensland Australia. My wife & I have been for a memorable ride in their Noosa Dreams Woody & it was a superb ride. So for all you guys up & over, ever want to come down & under & need a woody fix, I totally recomed it.
    Cheers,
    Geoff T.

Thanks for your story about us today Matt, and thank you Geoff for your kind words. It’s a pleasure being able to share the woodyboating experience, especially in a setting like the Noosa River. I’m often told how amazing my “office” is and I have to agree. Simon Fletcher built us a beautiful boat. Being out in our woody is always a blast. Being part of special occasions in peoples’ lives like weddings, proposals and anniversaries is the icing on the cake. Cheers, Michael

I grew up in Alex and My grandfather started Anderson Florist and Greenhouses on Lincoln Av.
I was an owner of a restored Chris Craft and ran it on Lake Carlos. It was restored by the person living west of Alex but forgot his name. Shop in his garage.
Later I had a Skiffcraft on Carlos. I think I was one of the first to start the craze of boating in Woody’s.
I have contacted the Pres. of NMMA Thom Dammrich to f/up with seeing if you would put in a panfishing concession with a pier, rental fishing poles (Zebco Style) and a rental bait stand.
I think this would generate alot of parents teaching children fishing from the pier. Happy New Year.
