Why God Created Crappy Days On The Water.

Perfect Day, Perfect place to sit next to the Woody Boatress

While we were out yesterday it dawned on me why we go out in crappy weather, and windy days. It’s on the off chance that those days turn into days like yesterday. Like gambling with the weather man, you go out just hoping that “this time the weather will be OK’ So yesterday out on the St Johns River cruise was pay back.. The big jackpot.. Fun folks all crammed into the perfect fun boat, puffy clouds, some fun chop and wind, and then calm in the creeks.. All Perfect.. the only problem.. I am not sure if it ever gets any better.

My favorite shot of the day! It says it all..

Today is the day the folks start coming in. Thayer IV and Mariah were slated to leave Jersey last night at 11PM and are due here tonight at 5PM.. Woody Boaters from around the US have already stopped by, Alex Watson, Jim Scott, Mike Mayer and more of the gang also arrive later.. And yes.. Mr Pat Curtin, and Wayne Mocksfield in person will be here. The band is warming up for one amazing event. Stay tuned for more

My favorite part of the cruise is the winding creeks. Great fun on plane! And there is cool funky stuff back there. Glad you had perfect weather to enjoy it! We went by boat to Copa Cabana in Mt Dora! Big yum!

    Matt,

You are right on.  Remember the run down the South Channel to the Old Club two years ago.  That fog lifted and it was a great day!  Hold two extra large white Sons of Varnish T- shits.  Pete’s going to pick them up on Saturday.

I have had the St. John River cruise on my “bucket List” since we visited the boat show last year. We just love the St Austine area, and have cruised the Palaka area in our Sea Ray. Just not the same with several woodies tho…

Yesterday was a great day for cruising the St.John river.  You  thought the girls got wet riding in the back yesterday, I wouldn’t have wanted to be sitting in the back seat crossing Lake George this afternoon.  Wet T`s for sure.

Show site is a beehive of activity.  Several boats in the field of dreams.  Tents are being erected.

Matt keep a XXL and L Black T for me.  I will see you at the show site tomorrow.

Hey Matt,  looks like you had a great tme. memories forever.  The Antique Boat Center boys are in town,  Lou is making sales already.  Terry Fiest threw the whole team out of the show after they sold the city tour boat.  Think the posse would look good in Sons of Varnish shirts.  See you tomorrow.
