Woody Boater HQ In Falls Church VA.
Due to a renter deciding to cut short his lease I am now able to open Woody Boater here in the Washington DC area. I have spent all weekend clearing out the space and painting. The the building was built in the 1940’s. Perfect for the boat. The space is right below my office so the commute to hobby is not all that far. It’s not huge, but it sure is convenient.
Looks like you have room for more a few more boats – and the ceiling height for a gantry crane. Throw in some shop tools and a couple hundred clamps… voila, you're the restoration business.
That looks fantastic Matt! And as Chad said, you do have room for a few more boats down the track…
Your commute will be a breeze and your team will always know where to go looking first, if you are ever late for a client meeting.
This could potentially kill your productivity upstairs! On the flip side, Sylvia will always be in mint condition. Hard to concentrate on work when you know the boat needs something done.
You now have storage cred. It looks like the perfect storm for wood boat madness. A finely oiled machine able to go back and forth between niche marketing and increasing the fleet. Whenever you are not busy, ha, doing the daily post, moving ideas and sanding, and other forms of rubbing, etc. there will be more time for more sanding and brushing and looking for more boats to fill all that space. For a couple of grand apiece you can get those four post lifts and stack the boats in there. Can't wait to see all their pictures when you send them out from the new Woody Boater World Wide Headquarters.
