Woody Boater Un Plugged At Antique Boat Center Open House Janurary 19, 2013.
Ya sit there in the morning with your cup of Joe, reading dumb stories on Toilet seats and ACBS Bord meetings. And ya think, I wonder what goes on behind the key board thar in WoodyBoaterville. Well, you my fellow Woody Boaterites, you can come to The Antique Boat Center in January and find out. Live in person no keyboard to hide behind. Mano el Mano unless you are Woody Gal…. Then it will be mano el femalo. OR Dennis.. Then it would be Mano el Denniso, or Chado, the list goes on oh! Sorry.. To much coffee this morning. Anyway, it would be fun to have a fun Woody Boater gathering there, possibly a small party and celebrate our addiction to varnish in the cold winter months and check out The Antique Boat Centers New Digs. . mmm just think, warm vanish heated on a warm wood stove..mmmm just flowing like its August..maybe make one of those fountains out of it, like a chocolate fountain of fresh warm varnish… Dang.. Some chips and 5200 dip! oh yeah.. We can hang out on big over stuffed seats of stuffing box cotton? Sniff endless tubes of Sikaflex? Hey what happens in…stays in…. OK it aint Vegas.. Forget the dancing Woody Babes, and Dolphinite rub downs.. Or not!
You unplugged? Absolutely no electronic devices? HA!
i’ll bring batteries
Is Uncle Lou popping for an open bar?? With finger food?
I am trying to get him to show up in his Danskin as well.
That’ll keep the bar bill down and no one could eat with that thought in their mind.
I just read ” Dolphinite rub downs ” and had to poke out my minds eye.
From hot smokn boat babes? No? To much..
Did not know you were have hot smoking babes there, I ‘ll have to poke the eye back in.
Dennis said he would supply the smoker!
I like my varnish heated on a coffee maker. Never over heats… Ready to use when you can smell that wonderful aroma.
It will require an overnight stay for many, including me. Will there be a group deal at some local lodging spot Friday night to kick off the party and bed down for the night?
Same here, an overnight stay and more time with fellow woodyboaters would make the long trip from West Michigan well worth it.
I was planning on coming a couple of weeks ago, when I first heard about this event…
The fact that you guys just saw Matt a couple of months ago and want to see him again says lots. I’m just not sure what though.
Matt and I think a lot alike, being in the Marketing/Sales buz. I find him very easy to talk with, and we get some creative ideas flowing. I admire what he and Texx have done with this site in such a short time, and enjoy the efforts to creat new and exciting things ahead for us readers.
Ok Matt, you owe me one…lol.
Thanks Dennis.
If you are looking for accomodations, there is a Drury Inn and Suites very close. You may be able to get a good deal in the Blue Ash, Ohio area since it’s a mostly business area, they sometimes have good weekend deals, tons of hotels in Blue Ash and only 10-15 minutes away. I will plan to be there with my 5 year old boy in tow, he made his first trip to the Antique Boat Center at 2, you have to start them young.
Frank,
Can I use the coffee maker trick just for the “shop”
aroma?
🙂
Won’t it spoil the illusion. Will we see the strings behind the special effects. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtian.
This sounds dangerous to me.
What happens in behind the scenes? …I hope Matt wears pants.
Chad, remember, what has been seen, cannot be UN-seen.
I know how to paint a visual dont I?
Rick,
It’s nice to hear from you again, even if I don’t quite know what you meant. Hope you are getting life back in order after Sandy.
4 1/2 hrs on a gas line this morning so I can have gas for the the generator if/when the power goes out again with the nor’easter we are currently getting. Right now gusts to 50 and heavy rain/snow mix. May get 1-3″ of snow by morning. This after a week without electric. At least I have a house though as many do not here on Long Island.
Nice Header…but I already spend way too much time on the “plane”…I’d rather be boating.
Hell yeah! Time for another “un-plugged” get together…I thought about that when recently at the Mariner’s Museum site of a memorable event in this series.
Get up some details.
Will try to make it…..lots of you all came to Va….I will hit the road for this one.
John in VA.
“My advice to you is to start drinking heavily.” Am I the only one feeling that way. About er, boats?
Hey now…as every southern woodyboater knows….
Jan. 19th is Robert E. Lee’s birthday!
any excuse for a road trip….
John in OLD VA
I’m Canadian by birth. We celebrate Tim Horton’s birthday. The road trip we take is to the nearest Tim Horton’s.
Tim Horton was born on the 12th not the 19th so you can do both.
Ok Matt, you pick the spot for us to stay and party Friday night. We can then make our reservations. This could be a Woo Hoo!
